Abstract: A system for mounting a portable electronic device may include a mount, a holster, and a clip. The holster may be configured to secure to a portable electronic device and the clip may engage with the holster. The clip may have top and bottom portions. The top clip portion may have a distal end and a mating portion proximate the distal end. The bottom clip portion may have a distal end and a mating portion proximate the distal end. The bottom clip portion, but not the top clip portion may slide through a receiving aperture in the mount.

Abstract: A case for holding a portable electronic device includes an anterior portion, a posterior portion, a boot, a transparent covering portion, and a plurality of fasteners. The anterior portion may have a front surface, a back surface, and a screen window. The posterior portion may have a front surface and a back surface. The boot may be flexible and may fit around the portable electronic device. The boot may have a sidewall, a flange extending inwardly from the sidewall, and a rear panel. The sidewall may be between the anterior portion and the posterior portion. The transparent covering portion may have an outer edge, a front surface, and a back surface. The outer edge may be between the boot and the back surface of the anterior portion. The plurality of fasteners may fasten the anterior portion and the posterior portion.

Abstract: A protective case for housing a wireless communication device is provided. The protective case may include integral wireless communication circuitry independent of the wireless communication device. The wireless communication circuitry may be configured to enable communication between the protective case and one or more remote communication devices via a short range network. The protective case may further include an integral speaker configured to reproduce audio signals received by the integral wireless communication circuitry and an integral power source configured to provide power to at least the integral wireless communication circuitry and the integral speaker. The integral wireless communication circuitry and the integral speaker may be capable of functioning independently of the wireless communication device.

Abstract: A combination writing pen and stylus is disclosed. The device has an internal ink cartridge deployable through a hole in the stylus tip. The stylus tip extends from a sleeve that is formed of a conductive elastomeric material. The sleeve extends up a rigid shaft of the device such that it contacts a sufficient ground. The stylus tip may be coated with a protective material that adjusts the coefficient of friction and prevents carbon deposits on the touch screen. A sufficient contact patch is achieved to simulate a human finger so as to overcome false positives from common touch screen logic. This is done by altering tip geometries around an air cavity within the sleeve.

Abstract: An electronic device holder having a retention member for retaining an electronic device, such as an MP3 player, preferably an Apple® IPod nano having a multi-touch color screen, and a strap or shank attached to the retention member to allow fastening to an object, such as a user's wrist or a chain, is disclosed. The device may be secured by friction fitting into a recessed area having two ridges to engage the device along two edges. The device may be inserted by sliding or snap fitting into the recessed area. An opening along the back of the recessed area allows the device to be pushed laterally or vertically from the retention member. Alternatively, the retention member may be a two-piece frame which partially encloses the device. The frame pieces affix to either a wristband strap or a carabiner clip shank as they are secured to one another.
