Abstract: An apparatus for forming a solid cake-like detergent. A dry powdered detergent mixture is discharged downwardly as a flowing particulate stream. The particulate stream is moistened by a spray of water. The moistened particulates are collected in a container in which the detergent is solidified and formed.
