Abstract: A sensor system for measuring the thickness of flat material that is moved relative to the sensor system has a first sensor device for measuring the thickness of the flat material and a device for generating an air cushion. The device is disposed in such a way that there is an air cushion between at least one side of the sensor device that faces the flat material, and the flat material, during operation. In the region of the air cushion, the first sensor device includes surface sections having porous material and/or material that is provided with micro-holes.
Abstract: The invention relates to a winding device for winding a travelling web of material, said winding device comprising at least one blade for slitting the web of material in the web direction into several partial webs of material and comprising a folding device for folding over the edges of the partial webs of material In order to provide a winding device that allows a web of material to be wound with folded over edges in the simplest possible manner and without folds, an oscillating device is provided, with which the at least one blade can be moved transversely to the direction of the web.

Abstract: A device for calibrating membrane tubes which are extrudable by an extrusion die includes a ring along an interior wall with which the extruded membrane tube can be guided, and a cooling liquid supply source which can be used to provide a cooling liquid which can be conveyed to between the interior wall and the membrane tube. The ring includes at least one open chamber in the region where the membrane tube exits the ring, with at least one opening of the open chamber facing the membrane tube and being sealed with at least one permeable webbed piece. A vacuum can be applied to the chamber.
Abstract: The invention describes a method for forming a hose from a flat web material, in which a flat web is supplied via a feeding device, the edges of the flat web material are folded by at least one hose formation tool, with the edge sections subsequently overlapping, parts of the overlapping edge sections are connected to each other. It is novel and inventive that the target position of at least one edge is determined after the edges have been folded over, that the actual position of at least one edge is determined by a measuring device, and that in case of a deviation of the actual position from the target position the hose formation tool is moved at least perpendicular in reference to the direction of transportation of the flat web material via an actuator.

Abstract: A system for measuring the viscosity of printing ink during a printing and ink correction process includes a printing press having an ink supply system, and an optical measuring device for measuring actual optical values of light that has interacted with at least parts of the printing picture. The printing press has an ink mass determination device to determine the weight of at least parts of the ink located in the ink supply system, and a control and evaluation device to receive measured values from the optical measuring device and from the ink mass determination device. The control and evaluation device determines an optical deviation, and, based on the optical deviation and the values from the weighing devices, an amount of corrective ink that is to be fed to the printing press in order to approximate the actual optical values to optical reference values.
