  • Patent number: 11949475
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method of processing received signal using a massive MIMO base station (BS). The BS comprises a radio unit (RU), a distributed unit (DU) and an interface. The method comprises receiving a plurality of signals corresponding to the plurality of antennas, said signals comprises at least one of data signals, demodulation reference signals (DMRS) and sounding reference signals (SRS). The RU or DU performs a grouping operation on a subset of the plurality of signals corresponding to a subset of antennas to generate signal groups. The RU performs a first stage filtering on the signals associated with each group using group specific filters to obtain group specific filtered signals. The DU performs a second stage filtering on the group specific filtered signals to obtain second stage filtered signals.

  • Patent number: 11949541
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to systems and methods to generate a signal in a communication network. The method comprises filtering a discrete Fourier transform spread orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (DFT-s-OFDM) data signal, and one of a DFT-S-OFDM and orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) reference signal (RS) using a data filter and a RS filter respectively, to produce filtered data signal and filtered RS. The RS filter has one to one relationship with the data filter. Thereafter, port mapping the filtered RS to a corresponding port assigned to the transmitter to obtain port mapped filtered RS, wherein the port mapped filtered RS comprises a first subset of non-zero locations comprising of the filtered RS values and a second subset of zero locations comprising of zero values.

  • Patent number: 11929863
Abstract: The present disclosure discloses a method and a system for providing a code cover to Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) symbols in a multiple user system. A data sequence is received from each of a plurality of users. Further, a reference sequence is generated for the data sequence of each of the plurality of users. Each of the reference sequence is multiplied with a code cover which are orthogonal to each other. Each of the reference sequence is time-multiplexed with corresponding data sequence, to generate a corresponding multiplexed sequence. Further, a Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) is performed on each of the multiplexed sequence to generate a corresponding DFT-spread-Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (DFT-s-OFDM) symbol. Lastly, the corresponding DFT-s-OFDM symbol is processed for transmitting over corresponding one or more channels.

  • Publication number: 20200162298
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a method and system for transmitting a sequence with low peak-to-average-power-ratio (PAPR). A communication system receives control data. A transmitter of the communication system comprises a plurality of sequences which are associated with the control data in the transmitter. The transmitter selects a sequence from the plurality of sequence. The selected sequence is rotated, pre-coded for generating pre-coded sequence. DFT is applied on the pre-coded sequence for generating frequency domain signals. The frequency domain signals are processed and corresponding waveform is transmitted to a receiver of the communication system. The receiver receives the waveform and is processed to extract the sequence from the waveform. The receiver correlates the extracted sequence with plurality of sequences stored in receiver memory to detect the control data. The generated waveform has low PAPR.

  • Publication number: 20190379567
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a method and system to generate a waveform in a communication network. The transmitter receives an input data and transmit a generated waveform to another communication system. The input data is spread with a spread code to generate a spread data and rotated using a constellation rotation operation to produce a rotated data. The rotated data is then precoded using precoding filter to produce a precoded data, and transformed into DFT output data using DFT operation. The DFT output data is then mapped with subcarriers to generate the sub-carrier mapped DFT data and modulated using Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) modulation to generate the waveform with low PAPR.
