    Abstract: A detection device, including a light emitting device, a light detection element, at least one reflective optical film element, and a control unit, is provided. The light emitting device is configured to provide an excitation beam. A part of the excitation beam whose main emission wavelength falls within an excitation wavelength range generates a fluorescence beam after irradiating onto the test specimen. The light detection element is configured to receive a part of the fluorescence beam whose main emission wavelength falls within a detection wavelength range. The control unit is coupled to at least one reflective optical film element and controls at least one reflective optical film element to filter out a part of a wavelength range of an incident beam. The incident beam is at least one of the excitation beam and the fluorescence beam. A detection method applicable to the detection device is also provided.
