Abstract: A method and installation for picking items from storage units into one or more outbound units. The installation has a small parts store in which the storage units are stored, and a pick area, in which storage units from the parts store are presented at several pickup points. Assigned to the pick area is a conveyor track via which the outbound units can be moved in or out of the pick area, such that items can be picked from the storage units disposed in the pickup points and into the outbound units. The installation has a pick location, at which one or more receiving locations for outbound units and a conveyor device for storage units from the parts store are disposed such that items can be picked from the storage units delivered on the conveyor device and into the outbound units disposed at the receiving locations.

Abstract: The present invention concerns an order-picking system, comprising a goods-in buffer (3) with at least one storage area (4), in which the picked goods units are stored before they leave the order-picking system, and at least one staging area (6), in which the picked goods units are staged automatically by an operating device in accordance with a predetermined sequence. In addition, the present invention comprise a pallet racking warehouse for a shipping buffer and a stacker crane for a corresponding pallet racking warehouse. A gravity conveyor (5) for the staging area of the shipping buffer is also the subject-matter of the present invention.

Abstract: An automated storage system for storing and picking articles delivered on incoming load carriers such as pallets comprises a device (depalletizer) for separating the article packing units, a tray storage facility (130) for storing the packing units (15) on trays (10), a take-off conveying system (42, 45, 135) for removing and feeding the packing units (15) in sequence for loading onto order load carriers, and a loading station (140) for loading the packing units (15) in a defined loading sequence onto order load carriers (20) for dispatch e.g. by lorry. The invention enables fully mechanized and automated storage and picking of the articles.

Abstract: A tray for use in order-picking system is presented. The tray includes a base part on which order-picking articles (for example retail articles) can be stored, a frame which is attached to the base parts, and a sliding part for displacing the order-picking articles in the direction of a removal position of the order-picking articles. It is thus possible to perform the picking operation of one of the articles in an economically-favorable posture irrespective of how full or empty the trays.

Abstract: A stacking aid for stacking goods on a loading aid, such as a pallet, has wall parts surrounding the goods stacked on the loading aid. It is possible to alter the height of at least one of the wall parts and to remove the stacking aid from the loading aid after completion of the stacking procedure. A method for stacking goods on a loading aid, such as a pallet, with the aid of the stacking aid entails (a) obtaining a stacking aid which surrounds a stack of goods on the loading aid, (b) loading the loading aid with goods by using the stacking aid, and (c) lifting the loading aid relative to the stacking. The stack of goods lifted out of the stacking aid are wrapped for stabilization. The invention makes it possible to efficiently secure the stack of goods on the pallet during the commissioning through the removable stacking aid and during the subsequent transportation of the goods by the stabilizing the goods, for instance with a film.

Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus for picking articles situated on retrieval pallets (38) in a pallet rack (52), characterized by a vehicle (10) capable of travelling along the picking front of the pallet rack (52) and having a first lifting device (14) with a height-adjustable picker-carrying device (26) for the picker (18) and having a second lifting device (16) with a height-adjustable pallet-carrying device (28) for an order pallet (20), wherein the picker-carrying device and the pallet-carrying device are positionable heightwise relative to the respective retrieval position independently of one another.
