Patent number: 7252179Abstract: Elevator doors have operating bars that are pivoted on a car door and that serve to actuate shaft-door actuating rollers that operate shaft doors. These doors are operated by an apparatus having an actuating device that changes a spacing between the operating bars and that has an actuating lever coupled with a door actuator. This actuating lever is coupled with a first link pivoted on the operating bars. The actuating lever and the first link are pivotal through a predetermined angle. A latch for the car doors is provided with a tension element connected between one operating bar and the actuating lever.Type: GrantFiled: April 17, 2003Date of Patent: August 7, 2007Assignee: Wittur AGInventor: Rupert Oberleitner

Patent number: 6782975Abstract: An elevator is provided which has a drive which in effective connection with a cable over deflection sheaves moves an elevator cabin running in a self-supporting shaft scaffold, as well as a counterweight in upward and downward directions, wherein deflection sheaves, drive sheaves as well as guide elements are combined in pre-assembled mounting units which can be quickly and easily assembled in the place of use. In addition, the elevator includes a drive which lifts and/or lowers an elevator cabin as well as a counterweight by at least one bending-flabby means guided over an arrangement of deflection sheaves, wherein the drive is incorporated into the arrangement of deflection sheaves as an element deflecting the bending-flabby means.Type: GrantFiled: June 23, 2000Date of Patent: August 31, 2004Assignee: Wittur AGInventor: Horst Whittur

Patent number: 6742629Abstract: A control valve unit for a hydraulic elevator includes two control valves wherein the flow of hydraulic oil from a tank to a lifting cylinder driving an elevator cabin and/or from the lifting cylinder to the tank can be controlled. In case of an upward movement of the elevator cabin, hydraulic oil is conveyed by a pump driven by an electromotor from the tank through the control valve unit to the lifting cylinder. In the case of a downward movement of the elevator cabin, the hydraulic oil flows through the control valve unit to the tank without the pump working. The control of the upward movement and the downward movement of the elevator cabin is achieved by one single pilotable control valve, respectively, that are provided to act as a check valve as well as a proportional valve.Type: GrantFiled: December 19, 2001Date of Patent: June 1, 2004Assignee: Wittur AGInventors: Sead Veletovac, Luigi Del Re, Andreas Schrempf

Patent number: 6510923Abstract: A method for controlling a hydraulic elevator whose car can be displaced by a hydraulic drive mechanism by hydraulic oil fed through a cylinder line or evacuated from said hydraulic drive mechanism by a pump that cooperates with a first control valve unit and a second control valve unit, wherein the flow the hydraulic oil is controlled by a measuring device and operation of the elevator can be controlled and regulated by a control apparatus. The load of the elevator car is determined by a load pressure sensor detecting pressure PZ in the cylinder line and is controlled preferably in a constant manner by changing the control of the second control valve unit in such a way that movement of the elevator car can be controlled in a very precise manner. When the elevator car is descending, the dropping pressure PZ in the cylinder line is regulated by changing the first control valve unit in such a way that the descending movement of the elevator-cabin can also be controlled in a very precise manner.Type: GrantFiled: November 5, 2001Date of Patent: January 28, 2003Assignee: Wittur AGInventors: Sead Veletovac, Luigi Del Re

Patent number: 6146303Abstract: The objective of the invention is a drive unit for a hoist, in particular for a hoist consisting of a motor 3, a gear 1, a brake 2, and a brake housing 8 serving as support, onto which the facing of the motor and/or the gear is flanged. The drive unit has a shaft 6, which simultaneously serves as a motor shaft and as a gear shaft, and the brake body 2 within the brake housing 8 is fastened to the shaft. Preferably, the motor 3 and/or the gear 1 are flanged, unsupported, to both sides of the brake housing 8. The construction according to the invention significantly shortens the total length of the drive unit. Furthermore, the installation and assembly costs in money, time, and materials are decreased.Type: GrantFiled: October 10, 1995Date of Patent: November 14, 2000Assignee: Wittur AGInventors: Horst Wittur, Hubert Fisher

Patent number: 6102165Abstract: For controlling and surveying the operation of elevator systems pulse generators are used which are integrated into antifriction bearings of mutually pivotable structural members of the elevator system. By measuring pulse numbers and pulse frequency, conditions of movement and positions of moving parts, like e.g. the elevator cage (5) and the doors (13), can be detected and evaluated in a computer.Type: GrantFiled: October 21, 1997Date of Patent: August 15, 2000Assignee: Wittur AGInventors: Horst Wittur, Hubert Fischer
