    Abstract: A computerized mat cutter machine system includes a mat table having a cutter surface, at least one clamp moveable between a clamped position to secure a matboard to the mat table and a non-clamped position, a cutter head for performing at least one of cutting and finishing a design in the matboard, and a clamp controller bus for communicatively coupling a board controller to a clamp controller of the at least one clamp. The clamp controller bus includes a first bus configured as a dual ended serial differential bus that allows signals to flow from the board controller to the clamp controller, and a second bus configured as an analog bus that allows signals to flow from the clamp controller to the board controller.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for cutting matboard at an angle between 5 and 90 degrees with a replaceable cartridge are described. The system includes a blade, blade cartridge, and footblock. The blade is double-edged and double-beveled and designed to fasten into the cartridge without slipping. The blade cartridge is secured in the footblock. The cartridge is designed to hold the blade at an angle to the material to be cut and to cut by pulling or pushing the blade through the material. Because the blade is secured into the cartridge, the position and angle and depth of the blade relative to the material remain constant.

One embodiment of the apparatus includes an image module, a print module, and an object registration module. The image module stores a digital representation of an image. The print module prints the image on a multi-dimensional surface of an object. The object registration module controls a multi-dimensional registration of the multi-dimensional surface of the object in proximity to a print head in accordance with the image. The printing system may use a print ribbon that includes an infrared absorbent, a resin, or both.

    Abstract: A reusable container for transporting temperature controlled items, which includes an outer case including a lid, and an insulating layer substantially inside the outer case and the lid. A generally rigid well is located inside the insulating later. At least one cooling element is provided, which is capable of maintaining temperature within a prescribed temperature range for predetermined periods of time, the cooling element being disposed within the well and at least partially defining a receptacle area. A caddy can be located in the receptacle area, at least partially surrounded by the cooling element, and is designed to accommodate at least one item to be transported. The cooling element may include a phase change material sealed within a plastic surround, and is designed to be separately removable and freezable prior to use. Temperature logging and/or location logging devices may be included.

    Abstract: Aluminum automobile wheels are straightened by exerting gentle pressure on the wheel to urge the wheel back to its original shape. If the metal does not move under pressure, the wheel is heated, and pressure again exerted, the process continuing until the wheel becomes round. A C-shaped wheel mount carries a spindle which mounts a hub. The hub rigidly receives the wheel, and the hub is selectively rotatable, and the wheel mount is selectively rotatable about a horizontal axis. The wheel is gently brought back to shape without excess heat or excess working to damage the metal. A final metal spinning step relieves stresses in the metal and brings the wheel to final tolerances.
