Abstract: A storage container assembly comprises a storage receptacle and a removable lid. The storage receptacle has a base and a continuous sidewall connected to the base. The sidewall projects upward from the base to a peripheral edge. The removable lid has a rigid central cover portion and a flexible seal portion that traverses a perimeter of the rigid central portion. The flexible seal portion has a release tab disposed along its periphery, and a pocket disposed inward of the release tab. The flexible seal portion further has a ledge disposed generally at the periphery of the flexible seal portion. The ledge contacts the peripheral edge of the storage receptacle. The flexible seal portion further has and a blade portion disposed below the ledge. The blade portion contacts the side wall of the storage receptacle and forms a generally fluid-tight seal with the sidewall.

Abstract: A rotary mandolin assembly for processing food comprises a container, a lid, and an operating handle. The container has a base and a sidewall that connects to and protrudes upwardly from the base. The sidewall terminates at a flange. The lid contacts the flange of the sidewall of the container. The lid has a cover, a retractable door, and a blade carrier. The cover has an opening formed therein. The retractable door is disposed above the opening of the cover. The retractable door is adapted to be positioned in one of a first position and a second position. The blade carrier has a plurality of blades attached thereto. The blade carrier is disposed beneath both the cover and the retractable door. The operating handle removably connects to the blade carrier.

Abstract: A knife and chopping attachment assembly for chopping food products comprises a knife and a chopping attachment. The knife has a blade portion and a handle portion. The blade portion has a cutting edge and a spine disposed on a top side of the blade portion generally opposite the cutting edge. The chopping attachment is disposed over a portion of the spine of the knife. The chopping attachment is movable along the spine from a proximal end of the blade portion to a distal end of the blade portion.

Abstract: A knife for cutting food products comprises a blade portion, a handle portion, and a bolster. The blade portion has a cutting edge and a spine. The spine is disposed on a top side of the blade portion. The bolster has at least a first thickness and is positioned between the blade portion and the handle portion. The bolster comprises a first generally curved-shape proximal boundary and a second generally curved-shaped distal boundary. The bolster has a first lateral sidewall and a second lateral sidewall. A surface depression is disposed between the first generally curved-shape proximal boundary and the second generally curved-shape distal boundary of at least one of the first lateral sidewall and the second lateral sidewall. The first generally curved-shape proximal boundary is spaced a distance from the second generally curved-shape distal boundary to receive a thumb of a user on the bolster.

A portion of the peripheral edge is disposed between the inner sidewall and the outer sidewall of the removable lid. A first outer sidewall portion of the seal portion is disposed within the first opening of the first handle ledge. A second outer sidewall portion of the seal portion is disposed within the second opening of the second handle ledge.

Abstract: A glass or ceramic dishware item having a contoured surface with an image disposed thereon is provided. The image is transferred to the contoured surface from a layered ink composite. The layered ink composite is created by depositing a first layer of thermoplastic ink onto a silicone substrate. A ceramic toner configured as an image is electrographically deposited onto the first layer of thermoplastic ink. A second layer of thermoplastic ink is then deposited onto the ceramic toner. The image is transferred, at ambient temperature, from the layered ink composite to the contoured surface of the dishware item by moving the second layer of thermoplastic ink and the contoured surface into contact. The dishware item is then fired.

Abstract: A self-pulling corkscrew is provided. The corkscrew includes a body comprised of a first arm extending downwardly from a central portion and a second arm extending downwardly from the central portion. The first and second arms each having an inner surface and an outer surface wherein the inner surfaces of the first arm and the second arm cooperatively define a bottle receiving cavity. The corkscrew further includes a first groove traversing at least a portion of the outer surface of the first arm and a second groove traversing at least a portion of the outer surface of the second arm. One of either the first and second grooves has a first depth at a proximate end of the groove and a second depth at a distal end of the groove. The corkscrew is further comprised of a sleeve, a handgrip and a screw. The sleeve is slidably engaged with the first and second arms and has a first inwardly projecting protrusion and a second inwardly projecting protrusion.

Abstract: A cooking vessel assembly comprises a cooking vessel and a removable lid. The cooking vessel has a base and a continuous sidewall. The sidewall connects to the base, projecting upwardly from the base and terminates at a peripheral edge. The removable lid has a covering portion and a handle. The handle has a griping portion, a connecting section, and a supporting section. The connecting section connects the handle to the lid covering portion. The gripping section extends from the connecting section. The supporting section extends from the connecting section in a direction generally opposite of the gripping section and has a cooking vessel retaining portion. A gap is formed between the connecting section and the supporting section. The cooking vessel retaining portion receives the peripheral edge of the cooking vessel to secure the lid to the cooking vessel in an open position to allow access to the base of the cooking vessel.
