Abstract: A container (10) suitable for dispensing comestible products has a body (12) with a top face segment (36) having an opening (14) and a concave top face segment (18) and a separate continuous member (40) connected to a side face (24), the member having an openable lid portion (42) which covers the opening and a flexible press portion (50) extending from the lid portion to the side face over the concave top segment face, which is normally convex to the concave top face segment, wherein application of a downward force to the convex flexible press portion transforms the convex portion to a concave portion and rotates the lid portion to uncover the opening.

Abstract: An oral composition for oral cleansing, breath freshening, and anti-microbial benefits includes Magnolia Bark Extract in combination with a surface active agent. The effectiveness of Magnolia Bark Extract in inhibiting biofilm formation in the oral cavity is increased by a synergistic combination of the Magnolia Bark Extract with a surface active agent in an oral cavity delivery agent, such as chewing gum, a confectionary, a lozenge, a compressed tablet, and an edible film.

Abstract: A package for storing and dispensing a consumable product is provided. The package can be easily constructed from a suitable blank of material and can be composed of first and second compartments hingedly and detachably secured to each other. The package has an initially unopened configuration where the first and second compartments define a substantially common plane. The package is openable from the initially unopened configuration by relative movement of the first and second compartments about the hinge. The package is reconfigurable to either of first and second closed configurations after the initial opening. In the first closed configuration the first and second compartments define a substantially common plane and in the second closed configuration the first and second compartments define spaced apart substantially parallel planes. A blank for a package, a method of making the package and a method of reconfiguring the package are also disclosed.

A coated product such as confectioneries such as chewing gum, medicines and medicinal tablets wherein the product is coated with a coating composition comprising hydrogenated indigestible starch syrup as a binding agent.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides an apparatus and method for packaging a non-contact printed edible substrate as well as the resultant packaged product. The packaging apparatus may include a non-contact printer, a carrier, and a package located at a discharge position. The carrier may be constructed and arranged to transport the edible substrate from the print position to the package and orient same in the package so that the printed ink indicia is visible through at least a portion of a panel of the package. At a print position, the non-contact printer is constructed and arranged to apply an edible ink indicia to an edible substrate. The packaging apparatus may form a packaged product having a plurality of compartments where at least one compartment at least partially defined by a panel. The interior of the compartment contains at least one edible substrate comprising a surface and a printed edible ink indicia on the surface so that the ink indicia is visible through at least a portion of the panel.

Abstract: A package for comestible products is provided. The package includes a front wall having a slot, a rear wall, a bottom wall and opposing sidewalls. The walls define a package interior and the rear wall includes a movable flap having a protruding member extending from the rear wall. The protruding member is adapted to engage the slot on the front wall and enclose the package interior. The front wall may include a cut-out area to guide the protruding member into the slot. The package may include a debossed area and an embossed area adjacent to and surrounding the slot on the front wall.
