Abstract: A film for packaging sliced foodstuffs, such as, for example cheese slices, is wound around the foodstuff in the form of a tube lying flat and completely encloses the foodstuff, the two edge zones on the longitudinal axes of the film overlapping and being joined to one another by a full-surface or partial heat-sealable coating. The film comprises a monolayer or coextruded multilayer, in each case biaxially stretched and heat-fixed, film, which has full-surface or partial peelable heat-sealable coating and contains a water-repellant additive component mixture.
