Abstract: A process for purification and working-up of cellulose or starch ethers using a solid-jacket sieve centrifuge for removing the suspension agent extraction with purifying agent and isolation of the purified ether product.
Abstract: Coupled tubular casings are obtained by placing a coupling piece, preferably a multilayered foil, on the inside of and overlapping two adjacent ends of tubular casings to be coupled and whose adjacent edges make an angle of 10.degree. to 80.degree. with the envisaged axis of the tubular casing, and sealing it.
Abstract: A sealable multilayer film for packaging comprising a polypropylene film and at least one sealing layer of an ethylene homo- or copolymer wherein the sealing layer contains an additive combination of a long-chain amine, a thermoplastic polymer incompatible with the sealing polymer and a polydialkyl siloxane.

Abstract: Auxiliary agents for improving the retention of flushable solids and for accelerating the drainage of suspensions, for more rapid treatment of solid and liquid substances which can be utilized industrially, such as industrial water, effluents and sludges, inter alia in the paper industry, and for improving the structure of soils, this auxiliary agents being in the form of suitable high-molecular, water-soluble acrylamide polymers obtained by solution polymerization, and also relates to a process for the preparation of this auxiliary agents.
Abstract: Auxiliary agent for improving the retention of flushable solids, the drainage of suspensions and the rapid treatment of industrial waters, effluents and sludges, especially in paper making which comprises the crosslinking of an intermediate product A with another intermediate product B in the presence of an polyfunctional compound to form the auxiliary agent C, wherein the intermediate product A comprises polyamines which contain quaternary nitrogen and which are formed by the action of polyvalent and/or monovalent amines on the reaction products of the secondary amine hydrochlorides with epichlorohydrin and wherein the intermediate product B comprises basic-polyamino-amides.

Abstract: A process for the production of water-soluble auxiliary agents based on polyaminoamides by reacting a polyfunctional compound with a tertiary, monofunctional amine to form an ammonium compound and reacting that ammonium compound with a basic polyaminoamide, the basic polyaminoamide being the polycondensation product of a dicarboxylic acid, a polyalkylenepolyamine and an aminocarboxylic acid or lactam thereof, the basic polyaminoamide being reacted with 0.15 to 0.19 mol of a polyfunctional compound per mol equivalent of secondary amino group in the polyamide, incorporating that modified basic polyaminoamide in the paper pulp so as to increase the retention of fibres, fillers or pigments, or to accelerate the drainage.
