Patents Assigned to Wonder Corporation of America
  • Patent number: 4563728
Abstract: Disclosed is a pen light having an outer casing, a lamp within the lower end of the casing, battery means within the casing in electrical contact with a first terminal of the lamp, a conductive clip for engaging the battery means toward the upper end of the casing, and a conductive member engaging a second terminal of the lamp and extending into proximity with a free end of the clip so that the free end of the clip can be pushed through a contact opening in the casing into electrical contact with the conductive member to turn on the lamp. The clip is shaped so that it abuts against the upper edge of the contact opening at a point above the free end such that the electrical circuit to the lamp can be closed when pressure is applied to the clip at the free end but cannot be closed when pressure is applied to the clip above the point of contact.

  • Patent number: 4408263
Abstract: A disposable flashlight includes a battery and bulb within a casing, a conductive clip engaging the battery and extending through an elongated peripheral slot in the casing, and a conductive member engaging a terminal of the light and extending into proximity with the end of the clip so that the end of the clip can be pushed through a contact opening in the casing into electrical contact with the conductive member to turn the light on. The peripheral slot extends a sufficient distance along the circumference of the casing so that the clip can be rotated within the slot to an "off" position in which its end no longer overlies the contact opening within the casing. In that position, the light cannot be activated when pressure is applied to the clip.

  • Patent number: 4324039
Abstract: A battery assembly apparatus comprises a device for delivering depolarization mix into a dry cell can. Another device inserts a carbon rod into the depolarizing mix in the dry cell can. A mix washer insertion device consolidates the depolarizing mix by pushing a mix washer against the depolarizing mix.

  • Patent number: 4319309
Abstract: A safety light adapted to be carried by a person comprises a battery casing. A lens casing is supported on the battery casing. A strap having two ends is slidably affixed to the battery casing for attaching said safety light to a person. A closure device is associated with a strap for securing the strap to form a band. The closure device includes a closure element having a base and two opposing side walls extending upward from two sides of the base. A lock device is rotably received between the side walls for pressing two overlapping portions of the strap against the base. In addition, the lens casing has a substantially rectangular box-like shape. The bottom of the lens casing is open to receive a light producing element. A base wall extends around the lower portion of the rectangular box. Two substantially identically shaped lens devices are affixed to the base wall and comprise the majority of the remainder of the lens casing.

  • Patent number: 4052610
Abstract: A front body assembly and rear body assembly, hingedly connected together at their bottom and detented at their top for selective opening and closing, co-operate with each other to form a flashlight case assembly which receives and mounts a flashlight bulb and dry cell battery to thus provide a flashlight. A reflector assembly, carried by the front body assembly, is formed with a substantially annular reflecting surface disposed about a substantially annular transparent area which, in turn, surrounds an opening centrally disposed to receive a flashlight bulb when such bulb is positioned on a component mounting plate assembly carried by the rear body assembly.
