The adjustment strap has a first end portion connected with the movable member and a second end portion extending outside the seat shell, and extends through the lock at a location between the first and second end portions. The movable member is movable in a first direction to pull the anchor strap portion for reducing a length thereof outside the seat shell, and in an opposite second direction to pull the adjustment strap for reducing a length thereof outside the seat shell.

The manipulation portions are exposed at the front side and rear sides of the child restraint respectively. The manipulation portion of each actuator is operable to independently drive the pawl through the connecting portion to disengage from the hole which the pawl is engaged with. The recline angle of the seat relative to the base can be adjusted by manipulating the manipulation portions from the front side or rear side of the child restraint.

The third engaging component moves to the first position to engage with the first engaging component so as to constrain relative movement between the seating component and the supporting component. The third engaging component moves to the second position to be separated from the first engaging component and the seating component can rotate relative to the supporting component.

Abstract: The child safety seat provides a crotch belt assembly to allow the consumer to adjust the crotch belt's position and length without disassembling the child restraint. The positioner uses two tab-like abutting ends that can slide within the channels so that the positioner may be configured at different positions with respect to the seat section, allowing for quick adjustability from a rear position to a forward position and vice versa. The crotch belt runs through the positioner and is connected to the seat shell with the belt attachment. The rear position will be used for the smaller child and is locked into that position by the second abutting end. During this process, the length of the crotch belt will automatically adjust for proper fit for the larger child.

The backrest has a front surface on which is provided a recess, and the belt restraint is movable relative to the backrest between a clamping state for pressing an anchoring belt in the recess and a release state for facilitating installation or removal of the anchoring belt. The latch can engage with the belt restraint for locking the belt restraint in the clamping state, and disengage from the belt restraint for its movement between the clamping state and the release state. The first and second outer major surfaces are substantially flush with the front surface of the backrest when the latch is engaged with the belt restraint.
