Abstract: A headset and a method for using a headset, to communicate with two separate devices. The headset comprises a mounting member for mounting and holding the headset on the head of a wearer, at least a first speaker, and means for connecting the speaker to the mounting member for holding the speaker adjacent an ear of the wearer. The headset further comprises first and second microphones, and a boom member connecting the microphones to the mounting member for holding the microphones adjacent the mouth of the wearer. A signal conducting circuit is provided for transmitting input communication signals from at least the first device to the first speaker, and for transmitting output communications from the first and second microphones to the first and second devices respectively.

Abstract: A platform provides access to multiple telecommunications services via a single telephone number. These services may include, for example, voicemail services, facsimile messaging services, paging services, and outbound calling services. A guest caller may call the single phone number to speak to a subscriber, leave a voicemail message for a subscriber, leave a facsimile message for a subscriber, or place a page to a subscriber. A subscriber may call the phone number to place outbound calls. In addition, a subscriber may call the single phone number to retrieve or send facsimile messages and/or voicemail messages. A subscriber may also call the phone number to configure service options. For instance, a subscriber may select routing options and choose what services are available to guest callers.

Abstract: A Web-based invoice viewing system and method for enabling a customer to generate invoices relating to various network services provided to the customer by an enterprise. A Web enabled invoice viewing system provides billing and invoice information to remote customers having a workstation with a Web browser and an Internet access. A graphical user interface system at the customer workstation presents a list of invoice documents organized into products and date ranges applicable to the customer for the customer to select and view. Various displays presented at the customer workstation may be printed, faxed, or queued for batch printing at the enterprise remotely. The customer is enabled to view dynamically summed results of numerical figures displayed on the invoice documents by highlighting the numbers in the document directly on the display.

Abstract: A method, system, and software product in which wrappers for rules automation technology are provided. Business rules, business objects, and at least one object agent, representing a corresponding one of the business objects, are provided. The object agent is inserted into a business rules agenda for executing the business rules so that the business rules are directly applied to the object agent, and thereby, are indirectly applied to the corresponding business object. This approach advantageously allows unsophisticated users of rules automation technology to interface with complex business objects and prevents an exception from destroying a business transaction.

Abstract: A method of and system for providing priority call processing based upon the status of electronic mail items between a called party and a calling party receives a request to set up a call between the calling party and the called party and determines if the called party has priority call processing activated or enabled. If so, the system determines if there is a priority electronic mail item between the called party and the calling party. If so, the system provides special processing of the call.

Abstract: A method of and system for providing special call processing based upon called party specified masks and the status of electronic mail, electronic calendar, and voice mail items associated with the called party and a calling party receives a request to set up a call between a calling party number and a called party number. The system determines if the called number is associated with a mask entry that matches the calling number. If so, the system provides special processing of the call based upon the matching mask entry. The mask entry may be specified by digits and or wild card characters. Special processing is specified by a disposition code in the matching mask entry. If the called number is not associated with a mask entry that matches calling number, the system determines if the called party has a call priority setting set to on for at least one of electronic mail, electronic calendar, or voice mail priority processing.

Abstract: Systems and methods for managing logistics associated with an event or meeting enable a user to enter event-related information using a graphical user interface. The event-related information may include a list of invitees and a location and time for the planned event. The system then automatically transmits invitation messages to the desired invitees, re-invites those invitees that fail to respond to the invitation and sends reminder messages to those invitees that indicate that they will attend the event. The system also automatically generates a status report relating to the event based on the received responses and lack of responses.

Abstract: A system, method and computer program product for processing event records. The present invention includes a detection layer, an analysis layer, an expert systems layer and a presentation layer. The layered system includes a core infrastructure and a configurable, domain-specific implementation. The detection layer employs one or more detection engines, such as a rules-based thresholding engine and a profiling engine. The detection layer can include an Artificial Intelligence based pattern recognition engine for analyzing data records, for detecting new and interesting patterns and for updating the detection engines to insure that the detection engines can detect the new patterns. In one embodiment, the present invention is implemented as a telecommunications fraud detection system. When fraud is detected, the detection layer generates alarms which are sent to the analysis layer. The analysis layer filters and consolidates the alarms to generate fraud cases.

A data coordinator coordinated a multicast protocol test between a data sender and a plurality of data receivers. A first shortest path tree is created from an intermediate device to the plurality of data receivers. A second shortest path tree is created from the intermediate device to the data sender. A group shortest path tree is formed including the first shortest path tree and the second shortest path tree to support transmission of test packets from the data sender to the data receivers. The data coordinator receives a test report from each of the data receivers. The data coordinator prepares a loss report using the test reports.

The virtual private branch exchange system associates the user's private branch exchange extension with the network address and routes calls to the user's (PBX) extension to the data device on the basis of the network address of the data device.

Abstract: Disclosed is a system that prevalidates service orders that are placed by an inter exchange carrier with a local exchange carrier for connection of the inter exchange carrier with a business customer. An integrated prevalidation system and service order system is disclosed in which prevalidation requests are performed using the data that is entered for the service order. Prevalidation responses are then used to ensure that the order will be correct when submitted, thereby avoiding, the necessity for expensive supplemental orders. Further, the present invention allows for stand alone prevalidation requests which enable a provisioner to determine availability of circuits, and to determine location information and equipment identification directly from the LEC databases. Further, the present invention is capable of reconciling the database of the inter exchange carrier with the database of the LEC to avoid submission of incorrect service orders.

Abstract: In a communications network that provides services to a plurality of users, events occurring during service processing are accumulated in an event record and sent to a record processor to perform post-processing, such as assessing charges to be billed to users of the network. Each service processing node in the communications network accumulates event records, bundles them with instructions as to how they are be processed, and dispatches them to one or more record processors. Before being sent to a record processor, an event record is augmented with instructions describing how to perform processing upon the events in the event record. The record processors are general-purpose processors and the instructions for post-processing are carried within the event records themselves. Post-processors are no longer required to be dedicated to a particular purpose such as billing computation.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method of and system for managing test case versions in which each test case version is associated with an application program load version. A set of test case versions is maintained in a test case library or database. Each test case version is identified in the test case library by date order sequence number. A test case version is selected for use with respect to a particular application program version selecting a subset of test case versions from the set of test case versions. The subset includes test case versions, if any, associated with the particular application program version and test case versions associated with application program versions earlier than the particular application program version. The method selects the latest application program version included in the subset of test case versions. The method then selects the latest test case version from the versions for the selected latest application program version.

The device includes an outer conductor having an inner surface and an inner conductor positioned within the outer conductor, and having an outer surface. The device further includes a first and second set of transformation sections, which provide a particular separation distance between the inner surface of the outer conductor and the outer surface of the inner conductor to yield a particular characteristic impedance for each of the first and second sets of transformation sections, thereby substantially matching the impedance of the generator to the elements of the load.

Abstract: A data warehousing infrastructure for telecommunications priced call detail data is integrated with a Web/Internet based reporting system providing a common GUI enabling the requesting, customizing, scheduling and viewing of various types of priced call detail data reports. Such an infrastructure performs an extraction process to obtain only those billing detail records of entitled customers, and a harvesting process for transforming the billing records into a star schema format for storage in one or more operational data storage devices. The system is integrated with a database server supporting expedient and accurate access to the customer's telecommunications priced call detail data for priced call detail data report generation.
