Abstract: A method for submission of payment transaction requests from a point of sale (POS) terminal to a financial institution includes reading payment information from a payment vehicle, reading financial institution routing information from the payment vehicle, reading a payment vehicle certificate from the payment vehicle, requesting consumer authentication information from a consumer, and submitting a payment transaction request to the financial institution using the financial institution routing information, a POS terminal certificate, and the payment vehicle certificate.

Abstract: A payment system reduces transaction costs for online merchants. The payment system receives a transaction amount for the purchase of goods or services by a consumer from an online merchant. The payment system receives bank identification numbers for a plurality of accounts of the consumer that could be used by the consumer to pay for the good or services. The payment system determines transaction costs associated with processing a payment transaction with an acquirer processor using each of the consumer accounts. The payment system determines a recommended consumer account to use for the purchase of the good or services based at least in part on the transaction costs. Tender steering information is generated and sent to the consumer. Tender steering information includes the recommended consumer account information and one or more incentives to incentivize the consumer to use the recommended consumer account for the payment of the goods or services.

Abstract: Systems and methods disclosed herein for the client-side management of recurring payment transactions. An account holder can interact with a consumer computing device, such as a smart phone or tablet computer, to provide billing parameters for recurring payments to a merchant. The billing parameters can be updated over time by the account holder.

Abstract: A computer-implemented system and method of tracking telemetry data at a financial computing system is presented. The system and method includes receiving an electronic message that includes a payment transaction originating from a payment terminal, and associating a unique transaction identifier to the payment transaction. Telemetry data for the payment transaction is received from payment processing applications through a telemetry interface and aggregated into a data store. The aggregated telemetry data associated with the unique identifier is presented on a user interface by the financial computing system.

The activation of the one or more of the audio speaker and the vibration motor is terminated in response detection conclusion of the user's entry of sensitive data the mobile device.

Abstract: A point of sale terminal of a merchant includes a third party payment provider display area for payment using a third party payment provider. The point of sale terminal receives an authentication notification for a consumer from the third party payment provider. The consumer is authenticated using one or more of a personal identification number, an image of the consumer, a quick response code scanned from a mobile device of the consumer, or a code received via near field communications with the mobile device of the consumer. The point of sale terminal requests payment from the third party payment provider for a transaction with the consumer using the transaction amount and authentication information. The third party provider display area allows new payment modalities to be used at the point of sale terminal without requiring modification of the instructions for the point of sale terminal.
