  • Patent number: 11210710
Abstract: Techniques for inserting advertising content into digital content are disclosed. The system may determine a compatibility between advertising content and digital content, determine candidate advertising content and candidate digital content using the determined compatibility, determine that the candidate digital content includes an advertising zone specifying an area where advertising content may be inserted, determine that an advertising slot of the candidate advertising content matches the advertising zone, and select digital content from the candidate digital content. The system may further select advertising content from the candidate advertising content, and combine selected digital content and selected advertising content by inserting the selected advertising content into the advertising zone.

  • Patent number: 11032586
Abstract: Techniques for dynamic digital advertising are disclosed. In one particular embodiment, the techniques may be realized as a dynamic advertising method comprising: receiving, by a computer processor associated with a dynamic advertising device, from a client device, first advertising content information including timepoint data for a playback event associated with first advertising content of a first advertising slot on a webpage; configuring, by the computer processor, a recall request for the first advertising content, the recall request including identification data associated with the first advertising content and specifying a timepoint obtained from the timepoint data; receiving, by the computer processor, from the client device, first advertising content resume request; and requesting, by the computer processor, for the client device, using the recall request, timepoint-configured first advertising content having a playback start time equal to the timepoint.

  • Patent number: 10977322
Abstract: Computer systems, methods and computer readable media storing instructions, for providing news item recommendations are disclosed. An example system includes one or more digital memories having stored therein metadata for a plurality of news items and click data corresponding to user interactions with the plurality of news items, and a processor. The processor is configured to: determine a user profile for a user, the user profile including indications of news items previously clicked on by the user; select candidate news items for recommendation from (a) said news items based upon respective similarity distances to news items included in the user profile or (b) news items included in other user profiles that are identified based upon their respective similarity distances to the user profiles; and score the candidate news items using, at least in part, a temporal aspect of the candidate news items.

  • Patent number: 10862953
Abstract: An article of manufacture for predicting the popularity of media may include at least one processor readable storage medium and instructions stored on the at least one medium. The instructions may be configured to be readable from the at least one medium by at least one processor and may thereby cause the at least one processor to operate so as to determine a publication time associated with digital media, set a predetermined time threshold based on the publication time, analyze the digital media to determine at least one feature associated with the digital media, compile the determined at least one feature, predict a popularity associated with the digital media based on the compiled at least one feature, and output the predicted popularity. The at least one feature associated with the digital media may be determined before the predetermined time threshold.
