    Abstract: A method of torch-cutting steel, typically slab steel, produced by continuous casting wherein a cutting torch is fueled with propylene and oxygen and wherein the fuel is mixed and combusted on the surface of the slab thus permitting the cutting of the slab to proceed contemporaneously with the production of slab steel by the continuos casting process.
