Abstract: A driving behaviour monitoring device having a data processor and a geographic positioning module in which the processor will make a determination, based on monitored driving behaviour, whether a vehicle is likely to have been involved in an accident, and record a geographical location associated with the data, and to further determine whether the device has changed its geographical position by more than a predetermined distance within a predetermined time. Driving data collected may also be used to calculate or adjust insurance premiums and/or to provide safety feedback.
