    Abstract: An interleaved flatwire construction for a flatwire planar transformer is provided. The interleaved flatwire construction includes a first winding wire that includes a first end, a second end and a plurality of first ring portions. The interleaved flatwire construction also includes a second winding wire that includes a first end, a second end and a plurality of second ring portions. A portion of the plurality of first ring portions and a portion of the plurality of second ring portions are interleaved with each other.
