  • Patent number: 11756324
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses, including computer programs encoded on a computer-readable storage medium for estimating the shape, size, mass, and health of fish are described. A pair of stereo cameras may be utilized to obtain off-axis images of fish in a defined area. The images may be processed, enhanced, and combined. Object detection may be used to detect and track a fish in images. A pose estimator may be used to determine key points and features of the detected fish. Based on the key points, a model of the fish is generated that provides an estimate of the size and shape of the fish. A regression model or neural network model can be applied to the fish model to determine characteristics of the fish.

  • Publication number: 20230281362
Abstract: A set of conditions is defined that to be simulated via execution of a machine-learning model. For each condition, a set of learnable condition-specific parameters is identified to configure a model architecture. A first learnable condition-specific parameter associated with a first condition of the set of conditions can be identified a shared or global parameter that is to have a same value as at least another learnable condition-specific parameter (associated with another condition). One or more parameter data structures can be configured with parameter values for the sets of condition-specific parameters for the sets of conditions, where the configuration imposes a constraint that a value for the first condition-specific parameter and the at least one value for the at least one other condition-specific parameter are the same. The machine-learning model can be trained using the configured parameter data structure(s).

  • Patent number: 11747578
Abstract: A method of calibrating a collimating lens system includes transmitting, using an optical transmitter, a beam out of an optical fiber and through a collimating lens of the collimating lens system. The beam is reflected off a perfect flat mirror positioned at an output of the collimating lens and back towards the collimating lens, and received, via the collimating lens, at a power meter connected to the optical fiber. The method also includes adjusting a position of a tip of the optical fiber proximal to the collimating lens while tracking a power reading using the power meter, selecting a calibration position of the optical fiber corresponding to a highest power reading, and securing the optical fiber relative to the collimating lens using the calibration position.

  • Patent number: 11710420
Abstract: A technique for dynamic generation of a therapeutic derivative story includes obtaining attribute data that describes characteristics of a content consumer along with situational details describing an emotional situation involving the content consumer. A relatability score for the therapeutic derivative story is determined. A content data structure (CDS) is selected. The CDS specifies story elements of a preexisting story. The story elements are associated with metadata constraints that constrain modification or use of the story elements. The metadata constraints indicate whether associated ones of the story elements are mutable story elements. One or more of the mutable story elements are adapted based on the attribute data or the situational details as constrained by the metadata constraints and to an extent determined at least in part by the relatability score to generate the therapeutic derivative story.
