    Abstract: A web-serving system for managing a cache memory having constituent objects of a web-page stored therein includes a cache manager in communication with the cache memory for controlling the content of the cache memory. A programmable script in communication with the cache manager detects the occurrence of a triggering event. In response to the triggering event, the programmable script instructs the cache manager to alter the content of the cache memory.
