  • High wattage lamp ferrule and socket system

    Abstract: The high current lamp system of the present invention includes a ferrule and socket which are of the same polarity and engage one end of the lamp. The socket is designed to enable the lamp to pivot slightly and permit translation in the direction of the axis of the lamp to facilitate replacement of the lamp. More importantly, the ferrule and socket system of the present invention have been designed to handle the higher power ratings, up to and including the 10,000 watt range.
