Abstract: A scanned image disclosure apparatus has a disclosure unit that encrypts and discloses to a disclosure destination a scanned image by using a public key or a private key relating to a public key certificate that has been verified to be valid, a re-verification unit that judges whether or not re-verification of the validity of the public key certificate is necessary during execution for the disclosure unit and performs re-verification if it is judged to be necessary, a termination unit that terminates the execution for the disclosure unit if the public key certificate was judged to be invalid by the re-verification unit.
Abstract: A toner image transfer assembly has a tacking assembly, an image transfer assembly, and a media transport assembly. The tacking assembly senses critical properties of media while electrostatically tacking media to a transport device. The tacking assembly forwards data corresponding to the sensed electrical properties to the image transfer assembly so that the image transfer assembly anticipates the electrical properties of an approaching media type.

Abstract: A method for adjusting the color of an image is provided. The image includes a plurality of pixels. The method includes receiving a natural language command to adjust a selected color of at least a portion of the image; determining a selection value for a pixel of interest by comparing a location of a color of the pixel of interest within a color space to a plurality of planes defining a multi-dimensional boundary of a portion of the color space corresponding to the selected color; and adjusting, based on the natural language command, the selected color of the pixel or the pixels of at least the portion of the image determined to be within the portion of the color space corresponding to the selected color. The selection value is representative of whether the pixel of interest lies within the portion of the color space corresponding to the selected color.

The process includes an extracting process, an executing process, a first creating process, a second creating process, a determining process. The extracting process extracts, from a first composition that is an object to be searched for and that includes first sentence elements and a second composition that indicates a retrieval condition and that includes second sentence elements, the first sentence elements, the second sentence elements, and sentence element relations indicating relations between the first sentence elements and relations between the second sentence elements.
Abstract: A method is employed to present image from an event. A plurality of images from the event are received and one or more clusters of images are created, wherein each cluster of images has a similarity greater than a predetermined threshold. A density value of the data distribution within each cluster is estimated and at least one local maximum associated with each cluster is identified via a density function. At least one image from each cluster is selected, wherein each image is a candidate for the presentation. A layout is created to present the images selected.
Abstract: A solid phase change ink composition that includes at least one colorant and an ink vehicle. The ink vehicle further includes at least one polyhydroxyalkanoate compound of the below formula wherein R is independently selected from the group consisting of a hydrogen atom, a hydrocarbon group, a heteroatom, and combinations thereof, and wherein n represents the number of repeating units of from 1 to about 35,000, and wherein x represents an integer from 1 to about 5.

Abstract: According to an aspect of the invention, an image processing apparatus includes a count unit, a transform unit, a first calculation unit, a second calculation unit, and a binarization unit. The count unit counts the number of pixels of an original binary image. The transform unit transforms the original binary image into a transformed image based on a given transform level. The first calculation unit calculates the number of pixels of the transformed image, based on the given transform level and the number of pixels of the original binary image. The second calculation unit calculates a threshold level based on the number of pixels for each pixel value of the transformed image and the number of pixels of the transformed image. The binarization unit binarizes the transformed image based on the threshold level.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a macro-photoinitiator comprising a photoinitiator covalently bound to a polymer. Also disclosed herein is a process for the enzymatic polymerization of monomers and photoinitiators performed at atmospheric pressure and relatively low temperatures to form the macro-photoinitiator.
Abstract: A system and methodology are described herein that enable a network with a plurality of independent computers, with differing print drivers having generated various otherwise potentially incompatible page description language print jobs, to successfully interface with a centralized printer system through a plurality of lines by virtue of on-the-fly adaptation of the page description language stream job headers before the jobs go to a subsequently designated print device. The header is consumed and parsed to mitigate print-stream header differences by transforming the header commands into page description language commands and imbedding the page description language commands in the original page description language data, and therefrom sending on a resulting pure page description language stream.
Abstract: A system reveals a 2D barcode in a document. A 2D barcode generator selects the placement and at least one colorant combination of an image and at least one colorant combination for a 2D barcode on a document, where the at least one colorant combination of the image and the 2D barcode form a metameric pair. A print system receives data from the 2D barcode generator and places the image and the 2D barcode on the document. A light source selected or tuned to a wavelength corresponding to the colorant combinations utilized by the print system reveals the 2D barcode placed thereon. A decoding element decodes and extracts data from the revealed 2D barcode.
