Abstract: An image forming device including a first image forming unit, a second image forming unit, an assignment unit and a reporting unit is provided. The first image forming unit forms images on one face of a recording paper. The second image forming unit receives the recording paper from the first image forming unit and forms images on the other face of the received recording paper, and performs image formation of a type that differs from the image formation performed by the first image forming unit. The assignment unit assigns logical pages of image data of a printing target to the first image forming unit or the second image forming unit. The reporting unit reports image forming information indicating what type of image formation is to be performed on each of the assigned logical pages of the image data.

An electrophotographic photoreceptor including a layer which includes the oxide material is also disclosed. An electrophotographic photoreceptor including a substrate; and a photosensitive layer including gallium, oxygen and zinc is also disclosed.
Abstract: A charging device includes: a charging member that faces an image carrier and charges a surface of the image carrier; a charging voltage controller that controls a charging voltage to be applied to the charging member when the surface of the image carrier is to be charged, and applies the charging voltage obtained by superposing an AC voltage which is subjected to constant-current control on a DC voltage; a variation range detector that detects a variation range of the AC voltage which changes according to the characteristic change of the charging member; and a response speed controller that reduces a response speed for the variation of the AC voltage in correspondence with the characteristic change when the variation range is larger than a predetermined set value.
Abstract: A method and system including a scanning subsystem for scanning a plurality of documents with a plurality of corresponding images is presented. The system further includes an image generation subsystem for automatically generating (1) a plurality of thumbnail images corresponding to the plurality of documents scanned with the scanner, and (2) a mark sense area corresponding to each one of the plurality of thumbnail images. A printing subsystem is included for producing at least one print including the plurality of thumbnail images and a plurality of mark sense areas. A thumbnail selection module is also included that causes at least one of the plurality of corresponding images to be replaced when both the at least one print with one or more marked mark sense areas and at least one of the plurality of documents are scanned with the scanning subsystem.

Abstract: Embodiments described herein are directed to generating a variable data image using a variable data image generator. The variable data image generator assigns a variable identifier to a specified location in a 3D scene to identify the specified location as being variable and populate the 3D scene with a component at the specified location based on the variable identifier and in response to a predefined populating rule. The predefined populating rule is applied based on an attribute of a recipient for which a static image of the 3D scene is to be generated. The component is selected and inserted at the specified location in accordance with the populating rule and with a perspective substantially matching a perspective of the specified location. The variable data generator outputs the static image of the 3D scene for the recipient, wherein the static image includes the component.
