Abstract: A process for applying a release agent and pressure sensitive adhesive to cut sheet media to thereby eliminate a separate release liner. A silicone oil plus additive release layer is applied during fusing on a top surface of cut media and then UV cured. A pressure sensitive adhesive layer is applied next. The cut sheets are then stacked and a compressive force is applied that transfers the pressure sensitive adhesive from one sheet to another and helps hold the stack together.

Abstract: An exposure apparatus includes: a substrate that extends in a longitudinal direction intersecting with a gravity direction and has light emitting elements emitting light toward a gravity direction; a housing that extends in the longitudinal direction, to which the substrate is attached; a support section that supports both end side portions of the housing in the longitudinal direction against gravity; and a structure section having a weight that is attached to an intermediate portion of the housing in the longitudinal direction and supported by the support section in the gravity direction.
Abstract: The disclosed embodiments illustrate a domain adaptation method for learning transferable feature representations from a source domain for a target domain. The method includes receiving input data comprising a plurality of labeled instances of the source domain and a plurality of unlabeled instances of the target domain. The method includes learning common representation shared between the source domain and the target domain, based on the plurality of labeled instances of the source domain. The method includes labeling one or more unlabeled instances in the plurality of unlabeled instances of the target domain, based on the common representation. The method includes determining a target specific representation corresponding to the target domain.

Abstract: A method for generating device-dependent color values which satisfy a colorant limit for an output device includes, for an input color defined by input values for three color channels in a first device-dependent color space, converting the input values to a hue angle ?, a saturation S, and value V in a second device-dependent color space. Minimum, maximum and middle ones of the input values are identified. The minimum is set to zero and the middle adjusted to maintain the input hue angle. A hue leaf relating output colorant mixture to input color can be constructed for the hue angle, and partitioned into regions. The region of the hue leaf containing the input color is identified and interpolated to identify intermediate values for the input color in a third device-dependent color space, such as CMYK. Output values in the third device-dependent color are the intermediate values or values derived therefrom.
Abstract: A sheet profile input area is displayed on a user interface. The user interface can be in communication with a processor and a decurler device. The decurler device receives sheets output by any form of sheet output device that may add curl to the sheets. User input that corresponds to the curl of the sheets is received into the sheet profile input area. The decurler device is controlled to remove the curl of the sheets based on the user input by causing the decurler device to contact the sheets after the sheets are output from the sheet output device.

Abstract: An image reading optical system includes an image reading portion, multiple light reflection portions, and a diaphragm. The image reading portion includes an array of reading elements that read incident light. The light reflection portions reflect light traveling from a readable object to the image reading portion. The diaphragm regulates light traveling from a first one of the light reflection portions to a subsequent one of the light reflection portions in a specific direction. The diaphragm includes a first light shielding portion and a second light shielding portion disposed at different positions in a travel direction of the light with respect to the first one of the light reflection portions to block part of the light. The first light shielding portion and the second light shielding portion are located in substantially a common plane. The first light shielding portion is disposed along an optical axis of light incident on the first one of the light reflection portions.
