  • Patent number: 12086483
Abstract: Method and systems for using augmented reality to create a printing template are disclosed. A mobile electronic device that includes a depth sensor and a display device will acquire and display an image of an environment. The depth sensor will acquire a three-dimensional (3D) representation of a target area within the environment. The system will process the 3D representation to identify a border and generate a surface map of the target area. The system will identify content to be placed on the target area and generate a print job to print the content on a substrate that is sized to fit within the border and conformable to the surface map.

  • Patent number: 12086489
Abstract: The present disclosure discloses methods and systems for managing multiple priority jobs at a multi-function device. The method includes receiving a first job at the multi-function device, wherein the first job is to be completed within a pre-defined time. Then, a second job is received at the multi-function device. Upon receiving the second job, a pre-defined algorithm is run to determine an execution order for the first job and the second job. Based on the pre-defined algorithm, either continue executing the first job or start executing the second job. This way, multiple jobs are managed at the multi-function device.

  • Patent number: 12079922
Abstract: A system and method for translating a 2D image to a 3D image is provided. A 2D image having pixels grouped into tiles is obtained. Contour lines associated with an altitude value are located on the 2D image. The altitude values are determined. Each tile in the 2D image is represented using at least one voxel. A height map of the voxels is generated based on the contour lines and altitude values as a base layer for a 3D image. A terrain type of each of the voxels of the 3D image is determined and objects are placed in the 3D image. The 3D image is output.

  • Patent number: 12081450
Abstract: A system and method provide a combination of a modular message structure, a priority-based message packing scheme, and a data packet queue management system to optimize the information content of a transmitted message in, for example, the Ocean of Things (OoT) environment. The modular message structure starts with a header that provides critical information and reference points for time and location. The rest of the message is composed of modular data packets, each of which has a data ID section that the message decoder uses for reference when reconstructing the message contents, an optional size section that specifies the length of the following data section if it can contain data of variable length, and a data section that can be compressed in a manner unique to that data type.

  • Patent number: 12076976
Abstract: A processor identifies print defect locations where printing defects occur and a assigns different sensitivity values to different zones of a job image being prepared for printing by a printing engine. The processor changes the orientation of the job image to a revised orientation, relative to print media, to avoid locating one or more high-sensitivity zones of the job image in the print defect locations. The high-sensitivity zones are ones of the zones having a sensitivity value above a threshold sensitivity value. The printing engine prints the job image on the print media at the revised orientation.

  • Patent number: 12070945
Abstract: A method of operating a printer identifies image areas and image features in ink image content data that are likely to produce ink blur within an ink image. The ink image content data for these areas and features is modified to attenuate the appearance of ink blur. The image areas identified as being likely to produce ink blur are the trailing edge and the side edges of the ink image content data. The modification of the ink image content data for the features and predetermined areas improves the quality of the printed ink image.

  • Publication number: 20240279465
Abstract: Thermoplastic polymer particles can be produced that comprise a thermoplastic polymer and an emulsion stabilizer (e.g., nanoparticles and/or surfactant) associated with an outer surface of the particles. The nanoparticles may be embedded in the outer surface of the particles. Melt emulsification can be used to produce said particles. For example, a method may include: mixing a mixture comprising a thermoplastic polymer, an carrier fluid that is immiscible with the thermoplastic polymer, and the emulsion stabilizer at a temperature greater than a melting point or softening temperature of the thermoplastic polymer and at a shear rate sufficiently high to disperse the thermoplastic polymer in the carrier fluid; cooling the mixture to below the melting point or softening temperature of the thermoplastic polymer to form the thermoplastic polymer particles; and separating the thermoplastic polymer particles from the carrier fluid.

  • Patent number: 12068430
Abstract: A method utilizes a target substrate has an array of chips on a carrier with a plurality of vacancies and a plurality of donor coupons are incompletely filled with functional chips. A bounding box is defined that encompasses the vacancies on the target substrate. Outcomes are simulated by overlapping a representation of the bounding box over a representation of each of a plurality of donor coupons at a plurality of translational offsets on a substrate plane to determine matches. An optimal one of the outcomes is found at a selected one or more of the donor coupons corresponding one or more offsets. A parallel transfer of the matching functional chips fills the vacancies on the target substrate using the one or more selected donor coupons and corresponding one or more offsets.

  • Patent number: 12067308
Abstract: A system and method for generating a secure digital copy of content associated with a non-fungible token (NFT). The system may include, be part of, or be in communication with a print device. The system will receive, from a requesting entity, a print request to print digital content that is associated with an NFT. The system will then access a user profile of the requesting entity to identify a digital wallet associated with the requesting entity. The system will determine whether the digital wallet indicates that the requesting entity owns the NFT. In response to determining that the digital wallet indicates that the requesting entity owns the NFT, the system will generate a print job that comprises a set of instructions to print the digital content, optionally with a verification code. The system may then cause the print device to print the digital content.
