Abstract: Systems and methods for that allow for the creation and management of a centralized gift registry are described. Gifts are added to the centralized gift registry from retailer-specific registries. A gift registrant may select one or more retailers. The centralized gift registry system may automatically submit a request for the creation of retailer-specific registries at each of the retailers selected by the gift registrant, based in part on information provided to the centralized gift registry by the gift registrant. This creation may involve the use of APIs at the centralized gift registry or the retailer-specific registries. A gift list is created and displayed. Gift givers may select a gift from the centralized gift registry.

Abstract: The presently disclosed subject matter includes a system to receive, from a plurality of compute devices, a set of media files and a set of geolocations, each media file from the set of media files captured by a compute device from the plurality of compute devices and each geolocation from the set of geolocations associated with a compute device from the plurality of compute devices. The system determines an event geolocation based on the set geolocations. The system sends a request message to a compute device from the plurality of compute devices when it is determined that the compute device is departing from the event geolocation. The system receives from the departing compute device, at least one media file associated with the event and publishes, via a host server, the set of media files and the at least one media file associated with the event.

Abstract: A gift registry system and method for providing a group gift giving option for gift givers and an option of a gift substitution or cash for gift recipients. The gift recipient registers any type of gift from any retailer for any occasion with an associated gift amount in the registry. The gift recipient also indicates whether they will accept a substitute of gift or cash instead of the gift. The gift giver is able to select a gift and make a partial contribution toward purchase of the gift.

Abstract: A universal gift registry providing a partial payment option for gift givers and a mandatory and contingent gift substitution for gift recipients. The gift recipient registers any type of gift idea from any store or establishment, for any occasion with an associated gift amount in the registry. The registrant is able to name their own gift price by selecting a gift amount not necessarily the same as the retail cost of the gift idea. The gift recipient also indicates whether they will accept a contingent substitute of gift or cash if the system is unable to provide the gift idea at the gift amount. The recipient can also select mandatory substitution of gift or cash. A gift giver is also able to select a gift idea and make a partial contribution toward purchase of the gift idea.
