Patents Assigned to Yamada Electric Mfg. Co. Ltd.
  • Patent number: 6496339
Abstract: An electric power supply device 13, combining an overload protector device 3 and a starter device 4 each other, and an equipment using thereof comprises a socket terminal 5 connected to an electric part of the overload protector device 3, and a convex portion 10c opposing to a tip opening portion 5a of the socket terminal 5, which is nearly in conformity with the shape of that tip opening portion and has a little gap therebetween, wherein while keeping superiority in work of assembling external apparatuses onto the terminal pins, prying force caused onto the tip opening portion when the socket terminals of the starter device are fitted onto terminal pins of an external equipment is suppressed, thereby to improve reliability.

  • Patent number: 6127913
Abstract: A bimetal 40 is secured at a holding portion 40b to a fixed pin 52 and a snap portion 40a is supported by a support portion 12a. The free end 40a" of the snap portion 40a comes in contact with a movable contact plate 30 to thereby rock the plate 30. The displacement of the snap portion 40a is restricted at a boundary end portion 40a' by the holding portion 40b. Due to this, when the thermal protector carries out a snap action (or is reversed), the snap portion 40a is rocked like a lever around the support portion 12a supporting the snap portion 40a, and the free end 40a" of the snap portion 40a is greatly displaced. Thus, the travelling distance by which the movable contact 32 travels when the movable contact plate 30 is rocked, can be increased. This can prevent a delay in snap.

  • Patent number: 5451853
Abstract: A starting device for a single phase induction motor can reduce the power consumption and restart in a short time. The starting device for the single phase induction motor having a main winding and a starting winding comprises a starting positive temperature coefficient thermistor connected in series with the starting winding, a bidirectional current control device connected in series with the starting winding and the starting positive temperature coefficient thermistor, and an auxiliary positive characteristic thermistor having a heat capacity smaller than that of the starting positive temperature coefficient thermistor connected in parallel with the starting positive temperature coefficient thermistor, a terminal of the auxiliary positive temperature coefficient thermistor being connected to a gate of the bidirectional current control device.
