Patent number: 5068767Abstract: An automatic focus position adjusting unit for use in a shadowless lighting device for medical purposes includes a sensor, a start switch, a start processor, and a direction adjuster. The unit also includes a focus mover, a peak detector, and an adjustment completion unit. The shadowless lighting device for medical purposes has a housing, illuminating bulbs arranged in the housing, and a drive system for inclining the illuminating bulbs so that the optical axes of the illuminating bulbs may converge, and form a focus, on a predetermined position along a focus moving axis. The automatic focus position adjusting unit permits, with a simple operation, an accurate focus position adjustment at a desired position. This is because it is possible to move the focus to a position at which the amount of light, reflected from the predetermined region at the center of the range of light, becomes a maximum.Type: GrantFiled: December 21, 1990Date of Patent: November 26, 1991Assignee: Yamada Iryo Shomei Kabushiki KaishaInventor: Mitsuhiro Koyama

Patent number: 4639838Abstract: A shadowless lighting equipment for medical use includes an illuminating device for emitting a wave beam such as an infrared ray beam subjected to frequency modulation on a patient on an operating table so as to form an irradiation area thereon, an image forming device which forms an image of the irradiation area in accordance with a wave beam reflected from the irradiated portion of the patient, and a sensor for comparing information regarding an image forming position by the image forming device with information regarding a light concentration position of a lighting device. In this comparison, when the image forming position is spaced apart from the light concentration position, an output containing information regarding the positional difference between the positions is provided, and, in response to such an output, the lighting device is driven in the X axis, Y axis, and perpendicular directions of a coordinate surface so that the light concentration position becomes the same as the image forming position.Type: GrantFiled: November 1, 1985Date of Patent: January 27, 1987Assignee: Yamada Iryo Shomei Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Yasuhiro Kato, Mitsuhiro Koyama

Patent number: 4384315Abstract: The present invention relates to a photographic flash device used with a common still camera in order to photograph a patient's operation under a shadowless lamp. Specifically, the present invention is characterized in that the flash from a stroboscopic unit positioned with the still camera indirectly actuates a flash device housed in the shadowless lamp, thereby causing substantially simultaneous action of a light-emitter of the flash device.Type: GrantFiled: August 18, 1981Date of Patent: May 17, 1983Assignee: Yamada Iryo Shomei Kabushiki KaishaInventor: Yoshito Hayakawa

Patent number: 4316237Abstract: A lighting fixture for use in therapeutic treatment having a lamphousing with a plurality of lamps located therein which are simultaneously moved within the lighting fixture lamp housing for adjusting the focal point of the lamps by moving a single control handle which is also used to adjust the position of the lamp housing itself. The single control handle is detachable so that it can be sterilized and thereby allowing for sterile conditions to be maintained each time the lighting fixture is used.Type: GrantFiled: March 27, 1980Date of Patent: February 16, 1982Assignee: Yamada Iryo Shomei Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Isao Yamada, Mitsuyuki Ikeda, Yumiko Komori

Patent number: 4130858Abstract: The present invention relates to a device for moving lamps used in clinical situations. The moving device has rails and a support which is movable on these rails. The rails are buried in the ceiling and the lamp is suspended from the support. The lamp is movable across an opening provided in the bottom of the rails. A belt is stretched across the total area of said opening to completely seal the opening; the downward support for the lamp passes through this belt; and the belt is movable together with the movement of the lamp.Type: GrantFiled: April 13, 1977Date of Patent: December 19, 1978Assignee: Yamada Iryo Shomei Kabushiki KaishaInventor: Yoshito Hayakawa

Patent number: 4025777Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus for clinical illumination of an operating room with a number of lamps, which are equally focused on the affected part of a patient's body, characterized in that the horizontal direction on the depth of the light focus from each lamp can be desirably changed by a single manipulation of a simple mechanism without scattering the light from each lamp.Type: GrantFiled: January 23, 1975Date of Patent: May 24, 1977Assignee: Yamada Iryo Shomei Kabushiki KaishaInventor: Yoshito Hayakawa

Patent number: 4025778Abstract: A multi-lamp shadowless illumination system which has a plurality of sealed lamp housings and a lamp tiltably mounted in each lamp housing. The lamp housings are mounted on a lamp holding pipe means in a generally horizontal array and in positions with the axes of the lamps directed toward a light axis depending perpendicularly from the central point of the array of lamp housings, the lamps within said housings being tiltable around axes which are perpendicular to the light axis.Operating rods are movable linearly within the pipe means and have one end operatively coupled with the respective lamps for tilting the lamps. Gear means is coupled to the operating rods for driving the rods for simultaneously tilting the lamps to move the focal point of the beams of light from the lamps along the light axis.Type: GrantFiled: October 14, 1975Date of Patent: May 24, 1977Assignee: Yamada Iryo Shomei Kabushiki KaishaInventor: Yoshito Hayakawa
