Abstract: An aquatic vessel basically includes a floating body, a submersible propulsion unit and a communication device. The floating body has an above water level surface and a below water level surface. The submersible propulsion unit is disposed on the floating body beneath the below water level surface of the floating body. The communication device is disposed on the floating body above the above water level surface of the floating body. The communication device is wired to the submersible propulsion unit, and is configured to wirelessly communicate with a control module.
Abstract: A ground surface position lateral acceleration calculator calculates ground surface position lateral acceleration based on lateral acceleration detected by an acceleration sensor, a yaw rate and a roll rate detected by a gyro sensor, yaw angular acceleration and roll angular acceleration calculated by an angular acceleration calculator, a roll angle calculated by a roll angle calculator, and specification information stored in a storage. A vehicle lateral force calculator calculates a vehicle lateral force based on the roll angular acceleration calculated by the angular acceleration calculator, the roll angle calculated by the roll angle calculator, the ground surface position lateral acceleration calculated by the ground surface position lateral acceleration calculator and the specification information stored in the storage.
Abstract: An engine (internal combustion engine), in accordance with an embodiment, includes: a crankcase having an oil pan; a crankshaft disposed inside the crankcase; a second crank gear disposed inside the crankcase to rotate about the crankshaft; a driven gear meshed with the second crank gear to be rotated as the second crank gear rotates; an oil pump drive gear meshed with the driven gear to rotate together with the driven gear; and an oil pump gear to be rotated as the oil pump drive gear rotates. The oil pump gear is disposed to overlap the driven gear as viewed from an axial end of the crankshaft.
Abstract: A valve drive mechanism for an engine can include a drive shaft that is configured for rotation about an axis. A valve member is configured to be driven by the rotation of the drive shaft to open and close a valve. A variable valve timing mechanism is positioned at least partially between the valve member and the drive shaft. The variable valve timing mechanism is configured to vary a valve open period of the valve. The valve drive mechanism is configured such that, during a specific operation range, the valve open period includes a main valve open period during which the valve is open in a suction or exhaust stroke, and a sub valve open period during which the valve is open in an expansion or compression stroke.
