  • Patent number: 5186641
Abstract: A socket for an electric part has an electric part accommodating space, and a plurality of contacts arranged in parallel relation along at least two opposing sides of the space. Each of the contacts has a contact nose portion to be contacted with a contact of the electric part accommodated in the electric part accommodating space, and a spring portion for biasing the contact nose portion inwardly in order to obtain a contacting pressure with the contact of the electric part. The socket also has a pivotable lever disposed along a row of contacts. One end of the pivotable lever is engaged with the contact and the other end extends outwardly from the engaging portion of the contact. The pivotable lever is supported so as to be pivoted about its fulcrum point, which varies in its location on the lever depending on the position of the lever along its pivot path.

  • Patent number: 5169321
Abstract: A contact has a contacting portion adapted to contact with an electric part. A spring portion has elasticity for exerting a contacting force on the contacting portion, and a terminal portion is attached to a circuit board, by soldering, and adapted to provide electric conductivity. After insulating material is attached to a side surface between the contacting portion and the terminal portion, a favorable electrically conductive material is electrically plated on the remaining portion. An electric conduction path is formed in an area starting at the contacting portion and ending at the terminal portion with the favorable conductive material.

  • Patent number: 5147212
Abstract: A socket for an electric part has a movable contact shutter member which is disposed for upward and downward movement on an upper part of a socket body having a plurality of contacts adapted to contact with terminals of the electric part. Each of the contacts is displaced backward in a released position against the elasticity thereof when the contact shutter member is lowered. Each of the contacts is likewise displaced forward into a contact position in compliance with the elasticity thereof when the contact shutter member is raised. The socket for an electric part also has an electric supporting portion disposed on the contact shutter member and adapted to support the electric part, and a spring mechanism disposed on the socket body and adapted to push up the contact shutter member.

  • Patent number: 5129024
Abstract: In an optical connector in which a cable holder reciprocally movably accommodated within a connector housing is urged forward by springs to expose a front end of the holder from a front end of the connector housing, a pair of lock arms are disposed along the longitudinal side portions of the connector housing, and the lock arms are resiliently displaced inwardly at front ends thereof where retaining claws are formed, so as to cancel a connected state with an objective member and restored outwardly in order to obtain a connected state with the objective member, the optical connector is characterized in that the pair of lock arms are disposed along the longitudinal side surfaces of the cable holder, the springs are disposed in spaces formed between the lock arms and the longitudinal side surfaces of the cable holder, the lock arms and the cable holder are resiliently contacted with each other by the springs through inclined guides which are formed on one or both opposing places, the cable holder is pushed down
