  • Patent number: 6460196
Abstract: Goggles include an eye-cup and a belt that are coupled by means of a coupling member. The eye-cup and the coupling member can be engaged and disengaged easier compared with conventional goggles. In the goggles, at a connecting end of the coupling member is provided an elastic bent piece with a V-shape section and a spring property. And a connection recess is provided on the eye-cup. The elastic bent piece of the coupling member and the connection recess of the eye-cup are fixed together in a mutual engaging state. The engaging state can be released by narrowing the gap distance in the V-shape of the elastic bent piece.

  • Patent number: 6455163
Abstract: The invention has an object to obtain a polarizing and dimming transparent optical product having both-a polarizing function and a dimming function, for example, polarizing and dimming sunglasses, goggles and lenses. The transparent optical product according to the invention has a lamination structure including one polarizer sheet layer, and at least one layer other than the polarizer sheet having the dimming function. Moreover, a plurality of sheets including one polarizer sheet and at least one sheet other than the polarizer sheet are mutually bonded with an adhesive or a binder to constitute a composite sheet, and at least one of the non-polarizer sheets and adhesive or binder layers in the composite sheet has the dimming function.

  • Patent number: 6338558
Abstract: Uncut spectacle lenses and a pair of spectacles using such lenses are provided. The uncut lenses includes a lens body and a pair of tabs fixed to an outer periphery of the lens body in opposite relationship with each other with respect to the geometrical center of the lens. The optical center of the lens is set up at a position spaced apart from the geometrical center thereof such that a line connecting the geometrical center and the optical center of the lens makes a predetermined angle with respect to a central line passing through the pair of tabs and the geometrical center of the lens. Further, the invention provides a polarizing spectacle lens wherein the optical center of the lens is located at a position spaced apart from the geometrical center and the line connecting the geometrical center and the optical center makes a predetermined angle with respect to the axis of polarization of the lens.
