Abstract: A method for treating/relief of women's menstruation pain. The pain is reduced or relieved by externally administering an effective amount of an essential oil obtained from anthopogon.
Abstract: The present invention discloses ?-bulnesene isolated from the essential oil of the plant of Pogostemon cablin. Steam distilled essential oil from the aerial parts of Pogostemon cablin was isolated to obtain ?-Bulnesene. The invented ?-Bulnesene inhibited platelet aggregation induced by platelet-activating factor (PAF) or arachidonic acid (AA). Use of the invented ?-bulnesene as anti-inflammation agent is disclosed. The invented ?-Bulnesene has the following chemical structure: wherein R1, R2 and R3 are respectively H, C51-C4 alkyl or isopropyl.
