Abstract: To provide a ?-pinene polymer excellent in heat resistance while having thermoplasticity, and further also having excellent strength, without impairing the inherent characteristics of small specific gravity and excellent transparency. A desired ?-pinene polymer having a weight average molecular weight of 90,000 to 1,000,000 and a glass transition temperature of 80° C. or more was obtained by polymerizing ?-pinene in the presence of a bifunctional vinyl compound.
