Abstract: A method and system for aligning in at least one of time and space temporally ordered sequences of images comprising receiving a plurality of sequences of images, each sequence including a multiplicity of images, each plurality of sequences defining a space-time volume, and providing an output indication relating at least one point in a space-time volume corresponding to one of the plurality of sequences to at least one point in a space-time volume corresponding to at least another one of the plurality of sequences.

Abstract: A method for the separation of one isotope from other isotopes in a gaseous mixture of isotopes. First the gaseous mixture of isotopes is non-selectively excited by a laser pulse, so as to form spatially localized wavepackets in the isotopes, which initially oscillate in phase with each other. After a certain time interval has passed, during which the wavepackets have undergone substantial revival, the oscillations of the wavepacket in the isotope to be separated are substantially out of phase with respect to the oscillations of the wavepackets in the other isotopes. Following a predetermined time interval the isotope to be separated is selectively excited by another laser pulse and thereafter extracted from the gaseous mixture.

Abstract: There is provided a process for rendering certain layers impervious to the seepage of water through same. Such layers are of value in preventing water seepage into structures, and also from ponds, from water reservoirs and the like. The water impervious layers are produced from mixtures of sand (about 98.5 to 90 weight percent) and montmorillonite (about 1.5 to 10 weight percent), which are compacted and contacted with salt water having a salt content at least equal to that of sea water, and washing the layer until the wash waters are essentially free of sodium.

Abstract: There are provided novel enterobactin type compounds. There is provided a novel process for the production of enterobactin, and of novel enterobactin type compounds which process is based on the reaction of a serine derivative with a stannoxane of the [BU.sub.2 Sn(OCH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 O)] type. Enterobactin is a known compound of known utility. The novel derivatives are valuable as sequestering agents for iron and other transition metals, for the separation and analysis of same. They can be used as active ingredients in pharmaceutical compositions for the removal of such metals accumulated above an acceptable level in patients.
