In one embodiment, the invention is a system for networking based redirecting of content, including but not limited to, media files, electronic documents, application data, on-demand data, and live-streamed data. The system includes at least one content delivery network (CDN) comprising a processor, memory to store data used by a processor, where the system includes more than one encoder server capable of sending more than one bit rate for a channel to an anchor server, where the anchor server determines which ingestion server to send content to, and where the channel content bit rate sent to a user device is dependent upon the user device internet bandwidth.
