Abstract: A method of analyzing performance of a brain stimulation tool is disclosed. The method comprises: obtaining encephalography data collected from a brain of a subject electrically stimulated by at least one of the electrode contacts of the brain stimulation tool; segmenting the data into a plurality of epochs, each corresponding to a single stimulation event generated by the brain stimulation tool; and applying a spatiotemporal analysis to the epochs so as to determine at least one of (i) location of the at least one electrode contact in the brain, and (ii) therapeutic effect of the at least one electrode contact.

Abstract: Provided are pharmaceutical compositions including a glucocorticoid or glucocorticoid derivative stably encapsulated in a liposome. The glucocorticoid or glucocorticoid derivative is selected from an amphipathic weak base glucocorticoid or glucocorticoid derivative having a pKa equal or below 11 and a logD at pH 7 in the range between ?2.5 and 1.5; or an amphipathic weak acid GC or GC derivative having a pKa above 3.5 and a logD at pH 7 in the range between ?2.5 and 1.5. The therapeutic effect of the pharmaceutical composition of the invention was exhibited in vivo with appropriate models of multiple sclerosis and cancer.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a system and method for generating a beam of fast ions. The system comprising: a target substrate having a patterned surface, a pattern comprising nanoscale pattern features oriented substantially uniformly along a common axis; and; a beam unit adapted for receiving a high power coherent electromagnetic radiation beam and providing an electromagnetic radiation beam having a main pulse and a pre-pulse and focusing it onto said patterned surface of the target substrate to cause interaction between said radiation beam and said substrate enabling creation of fast ions.

Abstract: The present invention concerns the use of a sphingoid-polyalkylamine conjugate as a capturing agent of biologically active molecules, such as antigens. In a particular embodiment, the spinogid-polyalkylamines are used for the preparation of pharmaceutical composition for stimulating or enhancing an immune response of a subject to protect against Hepatitis B Virus (HBV) infection. Other aspects of the invention concern methods for stimulating or enhancing an immune response of a subject to protect against Hepatitis B Virus (HBV) infection, by the use of the sphingoid-polyalkylamine conjugate, complexes comprising the sphingoid-polyalkylamine conjugate and a biologically active molecule, the latter, having an effect of stimulating or enhancing an immune response of a subject against to protect Hepatitis B Virus (HBV) infection, as well as kits making use of said conjugates and complexes. A preferred conjugate according to the invention is N-palmitoyl D-erythro sphingosyl-1-carbamoyl spermine (CCS).
