A hollow portion extending over a frame body of the frame of the window door and a panel support portion is defined. A lock body of the cremorne lock is mounted within the hollow portion. Thus, the frame body is required smaller width dimension than a width dimension of the lock body.

Abstract: A partitioning sash comprises at least one multi window mullion for forming a multiple window portion, at least one salient corner mullion for forming a salient angle portion and at least one reentrant corner mullion for forming a reentrant angle portion. The multi window mullion, the salient corner mullion, and the reentrant corner mullion has the same dimension measured in a direction parallel to a width of the sash. Each of the salient corner mullion and the reentrant corner mullion is constituted of a mullion body and an auxiliary frame body. The mullion body has a glass receptacle groove on a side surface to be located at one side in a direction parallel to the width of the sash, end has recesses on side surfaces to be located at both sides in a direction parallel to the depth of the sash.
Abstract: A sliding window structure has a window frame comprising an upper frame member, a lower frame member and bilateral side vertical frame members which are assembled in substantially rectangular shape, and an indoor side sash and an outdoor side sash fitted to the window frame. The lower frame member comprises an indoor side portion to which the indoor side sash is mounted and the outdoor side portion to which the outdoor side sash is mounted and has a step-like configuration in which the indoor side portion has a height higher than a height of the outdoor side portion. An attachment is mounted to the outdoor side portion of the lower frame member so as to cover the outdoor side portion. An upper end of the attachment is substantially at the same height level as an upper end of the indoor side portion of the lower frame member.
Abstract: The present invention provides a connection structure which can freely adjust a connection strength between each stile and rail without increasing the kinds of stiles and rails arranging a door. A door 1A is arranged by engaging connection convex parts 21A and 31A of an upper rail 20 and a lower rail 30 in a connection concave part of a stile 10. In this case, the strength of the connection part of the stile and rail is set by adjusting an engagement dimension of the connection convex parts 21A and 31A in the connection concave part 12A. When the doors of different connection strength are arranged, only adjusting the engagement dimensions is required without the need to manufacture and assemble stiles and rails of different shapes and so on for each strength; therefore the manufacturing cost is reduced with the kinds of stiles and rails required being reduced and each kind of door with different connection strength can be easily arranged.
Abstract: A sliding window comprises a window frame composed of upper, lower, and first and second vertical frame members, to which indoor side and outdoor side sashes are mounted. A space continuous around the periphery of the window frame is formed to the outdoor side of the window frame. The space is provided with a port communicating with the outdoor atmosphere, thereby having a pressure equal to an atmospheric pressure. The window frame, the indoor side sash and the outdoor side sash have respectively heat insulating lines continuous around their respective peripheries.

Abstract: An aluminum frame member according to the present invention has an improved weather-proof characteristics and can be produced through a simplified and inexpensive fabrication process. The aluminum frame member comprises an interior side member and an exterior side member formed separately from each other. The interior side member has a panel support portion at the exterior side, and a surface of the interior side member is coated with a relatively inexpensive coating. The exterior side member has a panel support portion at the interior side, and a surface of the exterior side member is coated with a coating having weather-proof capacity which is higher than that of the coating of the interior side member. The exterior side member is fixed to the exterior side of the interior side member, thereby concealing from the exterior a portion of the interior side member which is otherwise exposed to the exterior.

Abstract: A panel member mounting structure for a curtain wall has a frame body comprising a plurality of quadrangular frame sections defined by mullions and transoms. For each quadrangular frame section, a quadrangular gasket consisting of integrally connected left and right vertical gaskets and upper and lower horizontal gaskets is applied. In panel member mounting operation, first the quadrangular gasket is fitted to the mullions and transoms defining a quadrangular frame section, and then the panel member is fitted in the quadrangular gasket by deforming the exterior side holding pieces of the vertical and horizontal gaskets toward the exterior side. Next, while the panel member is temporarily being held by the exterior side holding pieces of the vertical and horizontal gaskets, the zippers are fitted to the gaskets, thereby preventing the deformation of the exterior side holding pieces of the gaskets to fix the panel member firmly.
Abstract: A fixed window includes a glazing device composed of a plate-like base detachably mounted on the inner surface of a frame component arranged outwardly of the peripheral edge of a panel, and a glazing strip mounted on the base for supporting an interior face portion of the panel adjacent the peripheral edge. When the base and the glazing strip are removed, the frame component can be also used as a frame component of a window of the different type. The glazing strip is held in contact with an interior flange of the frame component, so that a positive wind pressure acting on the panel is borne by the flange. The glazing strip can, therefore, be always held stably in position against displacement.
