In some cases, at least one of the splicing components may be configured to minimize deformation of the tapes as they are welded together.

    Abstract: There is provided a slider for a slide fastener. The slider includes a body, a pull tab, a shaft member, and a coil spring. The pull tab has a base portion, a gripper and a claw portion protruding from the base portion. The shaft member is configured to rotatably support the pull tab relative to the body. The coil spring is attached around the shaft member to urge the gripper to be laid down toward the body. A claw guide portion allows a tip end of the claw portion to protrude into the guide groove. A restricting portion of the body restricts rotation of the pull tab when the pull tab is raised by a predetermined angle from the body. A restricted portion of the pull tab comes in contact with the restricting portion when the pull tab is raised by the predetermined angle from the body.
