Abstract: A safety cover for use with the steering wheel of an automobile comprising an impact reducing section having an elastic partition wall and a cavity formed by the elastic partition within which an impact reducing material such as air, liquid, or a solid elastic body is filled, and a mounting section for mounting the impact reducing section to the steering wheel. The safety cover is capable of reducing an impact from the steering wheel which may be applied to a human body in case of a collision of the automobiles, and for absorbing car vibrations and thereby produce a good handling sensation.
