Publication number: 20120019355Abstract: According to one embodiment, when sending a transmission target main data 21, an authentication-tag generator unit 13 generates an authentication tag 23 by using a main data 21 and a key data 22 stored in a key-data storage unit 12. A transmitter/receiver unit 14 adds the authentication tag 23 to the main data 32 sends as a transmission data. When receiving the received data 24a, the transmitter/receiver unit 14 divides the received data into a main data 21a and an authentication tag 23a. The authentication-tag generator unit 13 generates an authentication tag 23b for comparison. A received-data authentication unit 15 determines whether or not those the received authentication tag 23a and the authentication tag for comparison 23b match with each other. A different key data is used every time upon the authentication-tag generation and use time of each key data during a set period is restricted.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 28, 2009Publication date: January 26, 2012Applicants: YOKOHAMA NATIONAL UNIVERSITY, KABUSHIKI KAISHA TOSHIBAInventors: Shigeki Katayama, Katsuhiko Sekiguchi, Kazuto Fukushima, Tsutomu Matsumoto

Patent number: 7921790Abstract: A tank (10) of a ship (1) is provided with an inflow port (6) and an outflow port (7) opening through a bottom of the ship (13). The inflow and outflow ports are spaced apart from each other in a headway direction of the hull. The ports are equipped with closure means (9), which closes the ports so as to ensure hull buoyancy by means of air in the tank. The ports allow seawater outside the ship to flow into the tank through the inflow port and the seawater in the tank to flow out of the ship through the outflow port, with use of headway motion of the ship. A partition (2) provides a weir extending in a widthwise direction of the hull in the tank, and divides a region in the tank into an inflow area (3) and an outflow area (4). The tank, partition, inflow port, outflow port and closure means constitute a ship buoyancy control system.Type: GrantFiled: December 10, 2007Date of Patent: April 12, 2011Assignee: National University Corporation Yokohama National UniversityInventors: Makoto Arai, Kazuo Suzuki, Koki Kora

Publication number: 20100322771Abstract: The present invention provides a rotary-type fluid machine which enables practical and effective operation in an extremely low specific speed range. The rotary-type fluid machine (1, 1?) has an impeller (10, 10?) integrally connected to a rotating drive shaft (2). The impeller is accommodated in a casing (3). Fluid (a) of a suction fluid passage (4) to be pumped flows into a center part (11) of the impeller. The fluid (b) is discharged from a peripheral portion (12) of the impeller by the effect of the centrifugal force of the rotating impeller, so that the fluid is delivered through a delivery fluid passage (5) outside of the casing. Many grooves (15) extending toward a peripheral edge of the impeller from the center part of the impeller are formed on the impeller. The groove opens on an outer circumferential surface (18) of the impeller, and causes strong recirculation vortices (R) to be formed in the vicinity of the peripheral edge of the impeller when the impeller rotates.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 14, 2009Publication date: December 23, 2010Applicant: National University Corporation Yokohama National UniversityInventors: Junichi Kurokawa, Shuusaku Kagawa

Publication number: 20100295533Abstract: According to a reception passive intermodulation measurement method of the present invention, a device under test is set to the mismatching condition, and a standing wave is generated on a transmission line where the sample is connected. Since the tip of the transmission line is short-circuited using the sample, the sample is positioned at the anti-node of the standing wave, and test signals are applied at a high current density. System noise is calibrated with the tip of the transmission line being open. Since impedance matching is not required and terminators are not employed, a large measurement dynamic range is obtained without being affected by passive intermodulation that is generated in terminators. The sample is very small, and an arbitrary shape can be selected. The property measurement is enabled for a wide range of materials, regardless of a conductive material, an insulating material and a magnetic material.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 23, 2007Publication date: November 25, 2010Applicant: YOKOHAMA NATIONAL UNIVERSITYInventors: Nobuhiro Kuga, Yasuyuki Yamamoto, Mitsuru Doi, Atsunori Endo
