  • Patent number: 7484999
Abstract: A conductive main block is formed with a through hole in which a dielectric member of a coaxial connector is inserted. A shell GND of the coaxial connector is secured on a surface of the main block. The core conductor peeled from the dielectric member is projected from an opposite surface of the main block. A conductive GND block includes a board receiving portion on which an end of the board is placed. The GND block can move relatively to the main block, by a guide member, in a linear direction parallel to the surface from which the core conductor is projected. By the relative movement of the main block and the GND block, the core conductor and the board receiving portion are caused to approach or be separated from each other so that the board can be inserted and sandwiched therebetween.

  • Publication number: 20080238778
Abstract: An antenna element 1 is formed such that a plurality of turning parts 13, 15, 17 are formed by being turned back in zigzag in parallel to a ground conductor film 2 while extending perpendicularly thereto and the lengths of segments 12, 14, 16, 18 between the turning parts are shorter on a side of the ground conductor film 2 (a side of a feeding part 4) and increase gradually as the segments are away from the ground conductor film 2. The turning parts of the antenna element 1 are formed such that the antenna resonates at two or more frequency bands, and has a fractional bandwidth of 4% or more of its frequency in a first frequency band and a fractional bandwidth of 15% or more of its frequency in a second frequency band by adjusting the lengths L1, L2 and L3 of respective segments and the intervals d1, d2 and d3 between adjacent segments. Consequently, a wideband antenna is realized in two or more multi-frequency bands, for example 2.4 to 2.5 GHz and 5 to 6 GHz, by using a single folded antenna.

  • Patent number: 7420511
Abstract: The present invention provides an antenna for multiple bands employing a single antenna element 10, capable of operating in multiple frequency bands, and ideal for size reduction purposes. One end A of an antenna element 10 is electrically connected to a feeding point 12 and intermediate points B and C and the other end thereof is electrically connected via switches SWb, SWc, and SWd to a ground conductor 14. The electrical lengths of the antenna element 10 from the terminal to the intermediate points B and C plus connection lines from these points via the switches SWb and SWc to the ground conductor 14 and the electrical length from the one end A to the other end D plus a connection line from the other end via the switch SWd to the ground conductor 14 are set to be capable of resonating different desired frequency bands. By closing one of the switches SWb, SWc, and SWd, one of the desired frequencies can be selected and the antenna can resonate with that frequency.
