Abstract: A sterilization device (1) includes a reactor (4) in which calcium oxide and water are reacted; a sterilization space (6) that is filled with water vapor generated in the reactor (4); a sterilization part (5) formed in the sterilization space (6) on which a sterilization object (2) to be sterilized is placed; a device main body (3) that encases the reactor (4), the sterilization space (6) and the sterilization part (5) to bring the sterilization space (6) into an airtight state; a supply unit (9) for supplying combustion gas into the sterilization space (6); and a discharge passage (13) through which a gas mixture in the sterilization space (6) is discharged to the outside.
Abstract: Sterilization or bacteriostasis is carried out using cellulose acetate. The cellulose acetate exhibits an excellent antibacterial property with respect to fungi such as Trichophyton, etc. and bacteria such as, for example, enteropathogenic Escherichia coli O-157 or Methicillin tolerance Staphylococcus aureus. The cellulose acetate may be mixed with resin such as, for example, polyethylene or polypropylene, and this mixture may be used to produce fibers. Then, a textile product may be manufactured using the fibers thus produced. The cellulose acetate may be dissolved in a mixed solvent of ethyl acetate, ethanol, and methyl alcohol, so that a coating material is prepared. This coating material is applied to an object to be sterilized and then is dried to form a coating film made of cellulose acetate. This coating film exhibits the antibacterial property.

Abstract: A fastener (1) comprises a core plate member made of metal (11) and a decorative member made of a wooden board (12) covering the core plate member (11). The decorative member (12) is formed of a hollow wooden board whose central portion is hollowed out. The fastener (1) is formed with little or no clearance between the core plate member (13) and the decorative member (12). Wooden furniture is fastened to the building using the fastener (1). The fastener (1) does not spoil the appearance of the wooden furniture, does not make flaws easily, and does not cause sliding easily in fastening the wooden furniture to the building.
