The interconnection material is made of a mixture of an alloy mainly containing nickel and chromium with oxide ceramics in an amount of 50 to 85 wt. % of the mixture. The interconnection material has a high electrical conductivity and good compatibility with other constituent materials of a solid oxide fuel cell.
Abstract: In drying a beltlike article such as a slide fastener tape by high-frequency induction heating, the tape is wound on the outer circumferential surface of a rotary drum heated from inside while rotating. An induction heating coil is mounted on the outer circumferential surface of a stationary drum, as an inner drum, with a gap with the inner circumferential surface of the rotary drum. The rotary drum is supported at one end by a rotary shaft via an adiabatic material. The stationary inner drum is made of a metal plate having a high heat conductivity for facilitating heat radiation of the heating coil, while the rotary drum is made of a cladding plate including iron and copper plates in combination.

Abstract: A swivel hook assembly comprises a web-engaging member adapted for engaging a web and having a pivotal hole formed therein and a hook member including a hook body and a coupling member for pivotally joining the hook body with the web-engaging member.
Abstract: A flexible closure device comprises a pair of elongated fastener strips each including a web portion and a marginal portion. The marginal portion includes a plurality of interlocking ribs terminating in hooked coupling heads for coupling engagement with corresponding coupling heads. The middle rib has its hooked coupling heads project slightly beyond the rest of ribs. One side surface, of the middle rib, devoid of the hooked coupling head is slightly inclined downwardly outwardly relative to the general plane of the middle rib.
Abstract: A buckle comprising socket and plug bodies formed of plastics. The socket body has upper and lower plates connected with each other at their one ends. The upper plate has a circular through-hole. The lower plate has an inwardly curved locking projection extending from an annular edge portion at the side of the insertion opening and terminating in an engaging edge. The plug body has an insertion member including a resilient operating plate which extends from the side of a base end portion of the insertion member and which terminates in a downwardly directed toughing ledge resiliently touching the locking projection when the socket and plug bodies are coupled.
Abstract: A compacted and consolidated aluminum-based alloy material is obtained by compacting and consolidating a rapidly-solidified material having a composition represented by the general formula: Al.sub.a Ni.sub.b X.sub.c M.sub.d or Al.sub.a' Ni.sub.b X.sub.c M.sub.d Q.sub.e, where X is one or two elements selected from La and Ce or an Mm; M is Zr or Ti; Q is one or more elements selected from Mg, Si, Cu and Zn, and a, a', b, c, d and e are, in atomic percentages, 84.ltoreq.a.ltoreq.94.8, 82.ltoreq.a'.ltoreq.94.6, 5.ltoreq.b .ltoreq.10, 0.1.ltoreq.c.ltoreq.3, 0.1.ltoreq.d.ltoreq.3, and 0.2.ltoreq.e.ltoreq.2. According to the production process of the invention, powder or flakes obtained by rapidly solidifying are compacted, followed by compressing, forming and consolidating by conventional plastic working operations. The consolidated material has an elongation sufficient to withstand secondary working operations. Moreover, the material retains the excellent properties of its raw material as they are.
Abstract: A cord stopper comprises a double-headed plug having a pair of through holes formed one through each plug heads perpendicularly to the longitudinal axis thereof; a pair of sockets each reciprocally fitted over the respective plug head and having a pair of apertures formed through the periphery thereof; and a pair of springs for normally urging the sockets away from each other. When the sockets are fully compressed against the bias of the spring, the apertures come into registry with the respective through holes for letting a string through.
Abstract: This present invention provides a hard multilayer coated product comprising a hard wear-resistant titanium compound coating layer, a titanium compound layer having a compositional gradient and a self-lubricating coating layer comprising hard amorphous carbon as the principal component successively formed on the surface of a substrate, the first layer being formed at about 500.degree. C. by the plasma CVD method in a vacuum followed by the formation of the second and third layers at 250.degree. to 400.degree. C. in a vacuum maintained at the same level as above. The hard multilayer coated product is improved in wear-resistance and self-lubricity.
Abstract: This invention relates to a recording medium having a sufficient difference between the crystallization temperature and the melting point as well as excellent characteristics in writing and erasing. The optical recording medium comprises a recording layer consisting of a recording material capable of recording and erasing through transition between an amorphous phase and a crystalline phase by laser beam heating, the recording material having a composition represented by the general formula:Ln.sub.a X.sub.b Al.sub.(100-(a+b))wherein Ln is either at least one metallic element selected from the group consisting of Y, La, Ce, Nd, Sm and Gd, or Mm (misch metal); X is at least one metallic element selected from the group consisting of Fe, Co, Ni and Cu; and a and b are, in atomic percentage, 40.ltoreq.a.ltoreq.80 and 5.ltoreq.b.ltoreq.40.
Abstract: A stringer for a concealed type of slide fastener has a warp-knit tape comprising a web portion and a longitudinal edge portion for mounting thereon a row of interlocking fastener elements. The edge portion is comprised of yarns of lower denier disposed in between adjacent wales such that the edge portion presents a cross-sectionally relatively low profile contrastive to the web portion thereby clearly defining a location for folding the tape on itself to conceal the fastener elements from external view.
Abstract: An apparatus for manufacturing a woven slide fastener stringer includes a first reed for beating a filling yarn through a shed of warp threads against the fell of a tape being woven and a second reed for beating a monofilamentary fastener element having successively interconnected convolutions in place along a longitudinal edge of the tape. The first and second reeds are actuated to alternate in their respective beating-up movements. The second reed is positioned to beat the element convolutions substantially centrally thereof away from their coupling head portions.
