A transistor obtained by this method can be put into broader range of applications compared to III-V group transistor.

    Abstract: A human body balance signals measuring system and the method of analysis thereof that has a measuring device, a filter amplifier, an A/D convertor (analog to digital convertor), a signal receiving module, and a data analyze module. The measuring device is linked with the filter amplifier. The filter amplifier can detect and collect the voltage signals caused by pressure change and then filter and amplify the signals. The signals are send to the A/D convertor to convert the analog circuit signals into digital signals for the receiving module to use these voltage change values for human body center of gravity offset evaluation to obtain the COP (center of pressure) offset and COP offset velocity. The data analyze module uses the measured body center of gravity offset for MSE (multiscale entropy) to quantitative the dynamic of human body center of gravity and verify the accuracy of this measuring system.

The high speed ball shear machine includes a fixing base, a shear tool, and a metal bump catcher. The substrate is fixed on the top surface of the fixing base. The shear tool is disposed above the top surface. The fixing base is adapted for being translated along a translation path relative to the shear tool, wherein the translation path is a straight path. When the fixing base translates along the path, the metal bump is driven to strike the shear tool so as to separate itself from the substrate. The metal bump catcher, which is adapted for catching the drop bump after the striking, is disposed on the side wall of the fixing base. The bump catcher has a fillister with a configuration depicted in the figures of this invention.

    Abstract: A method for monitoring the depth of anesthesia is provided for detecting the conscious state of one being anesthetized in the recovery phase or induction phase of anesthesia course in order to facilitate an anesthesiologist to predict exactly the dosage of an anesthetic required. At first, an original electroencephalogram (EEG) is taken from one being tested. Then, the original electroencephalogram is analyzed by approximate entropy to obtain its approximate entropy value. Next, the approximate entropy value is multiplied by 1000/17, and the corrected value is assumed as the predicted value of depth of anesthesia. The predicted value of depth of anesthesia represents degree of the conscious state or the depth of anesthesia for the one being tested. The higher the predicted depth of anesthesia value, the more conscious the one being tested is, i.e., in a shallower depth of anesthesia. On the other hand, the lower the predicted depth of anesthesia value, the less conscious the one being tested is, i.e.

    Abstract: A micro reactor having micro flow-guiding blocks includes a first gas flow channel, a second gas flow channel and a catalytic converter. There are several flow-guiding portions disposed on the first gas flow channel. Each flow-guiding portion has micro flow-guiding blocks, flow-impact recesses, and catalytic portions. The function of the micro flow-guiding block is to guide a flowing direction of the flow toward the catalytic portion on the flow-impact recess in order to increase a possibility of contacting and chemical reaction with the catalytic portion. So, guiding the flow direction toward the catalytic portion can increase the overall reaction efficiency. More turbulence is generated to obtain a better mixing. Plus, its structure is simple.

The lithography method of fabricating MPW mainly involves disposing a wafer lithographic shielding mask for selecting the exposure regions on the MPW reticle on the light transmission path from a lithographic light source to a wafer, e.g., between the MPW reticle and the lithographic light source or between the MPW reticle and the wafer, so as to prevent some undesired chips from being fabricated on the wafer using the MPW reticle, thereby decreasing the wafer production cost.

    Abstract: A method of inhibiting a formation of palladium-nickel-tin (Pd—Ni—Sn) intermetallic in solder joints is described as follows. Firstly, a solder alloy is provided. Then, at least one of a trace of copper and a trace of zinc is doped into the solder alloy. Afterward, the solder alloy is disposed on the Pd-bearing surface finish, such as a Pd/Ni bi-layer or a Au/Pd/Ni tri-layer. Next, the solder alloy is soldered with the surface finish as solder joints. During the soldering, the Cu and Zn will incorporate into the soldering reaction, forming copper-palladium-nickel-tin intermetallic and zinc-palladium-nickel-tin intermetallic, replacing the Pd—Ni—Sn respectively. Consequently, the addition of Cu and/or Zn into solders will inhibit the undesirable Pd—Ni—Sn intermetallic to form in the solder joints.

    Abstract: The invention presents a combinational fuzzy-decision Viterbi decoder, which combines the modified ? and S-membership functions, to further improve the performance of the dedicated short-range communications (DSRC) system operated in the time-varying fading channel. The combinational fuzzy-decision Viterbi decoder includes parallel-to-serial converter, fuzzy-decision constellation decoder and analog Viterbi decoder. The coding gain of the DSRC system using the proposed combinational fuzzy-decision Viterbi decoder is compared with both the hard-decision and soft-decision Viterbi decoder for the BPSK, QPSK, 16-QAM and 64-QAM OFDM DSRC systems. The improvement in performance of the DSRC system achieved by replacing the hard decision and soft decision Viterbi decoder with the proposed combinational fuzzy-decision Viterbi decoder will be validated with simulations.

The power circuit of the invention is made of a two-stage circuit, connecting a step-up DC-DC converter and a full-bridge inverter in serial. The present invention uses an adaptive perturbation and observation method to increase tracking speed of maximum power position and at the same time reduces energy loss. In addition, the full-bridge inverter's output has to have the same phase with the utility power in order to achieve unit power factor and increase the system efficiency. The present invention uses voltage type current control full-bridge inverter to achieve the goal of merging into utility grid. The present invention provides an active Sun tracking system, by utilizing the character of changing in open circuit output voltage with Sun radiation strength to follow the Sun, and decreases the system cost and increases system effectiveness.

    Abstract: The aim of this invention focuses on the development of a high-efficiency bidirectional converter for power sources with great voltage diversity. In traditional bidirectional converters, the circuit topology with transformer form is the common usual. Moreover, the soft-switching techniques including zero-voltage-switching (ZVS) or zero-current-switching (ZCS) are usually used for alleviating the corresponding switching losses. However, there are four and upward power semiconductor switches in these circuit schemes. By this way, it will result in the increase of production cost, and the degeneration of conversion efficiency. The coupled-inductor bidirectional scheme in the proposed converter only adopts three power semiconductor switches to accomplish the objective of bidirectional current control. Under the situation of non-isolation circuit topology, it still possesses the protection of electric safety for operators.

    Abstract: The present invention focuses on the development of a high-efficiency single-stage bidirectional converter with multi-input power sources. In the present invention, it takes a three-winding coupled inductor as the main component of energy transmission, and utilizes only two power semiconductor switches to accomplish the multi-input function. According to the designed switching conditions, this circuit could be operated at discharge, charge and standalone states to simplify conventional structure in which multiple converters are used in boosting voltage and then connected in parallel to supply power. Moreover, the coupled inductor as the principal part of this circuit has high-voltage gain property, and the present invention fully utilizes the winding voltage in the high-voltage side to further increase the corresponding voltage gain superior to that in the conventional coupled-inductor strategy.
