    Abstract: An individual-wheel drive apparatus including an electric motor is disclosed. A two-stage planetary gear arrangement couples the motor to the wheel. The hollow gear of the planetary gear arrangement is fastened to the end bell of the motor. The outside surface of the hollow gear serves as the inner bearing race for the bearing of the wheel hub.
