Abstract: A protective helmet is composed of an external crown made from plastic material, and a semi-rigid neckband adjustable by adjustment means. To ensure that the helmet is efficiently secured on the user's head regardless of his or her hair-style, the neckband is in the shape of an Omega composed of lateral securing zones and a curved central part for free passage of the user's hair worn in a pony tail. The ends of the lateral securing zones of the neckband are joined to the adjustment means.

Abstract: A roping belt comprises a lining structure, and an equipment-carrying device achieved by means of a continuous cord fixed by seams along the lining structure forming a succession of attachment loops. The ends of the cord are securedly attached to the belt by first end seams able to withstand higher forces than those of the second intermediate seams forming the attachment loops.
Abstract: A carabiner comprises a locking part elastically biased to a locked position for automatic locking of the pivoting gate in the closed position. The locking part is associated with an actuating ring coaxially surrounding the gate and used only when opening of the carabiner is performed for the gate to pivot to the unlocked position. The first end of the fixed body comprises a ramp to automatically unlock the locking part before the gate reaches the end of closing travel.
Abstract: A roping belt for a safety harness comprising an equipment-carrying device having at least one U-shaped attachment loop securedly fastened to the belt by fixing means and composed of a joining part made of flexible textile material and of a pre-formed stiffener part made of semi-rigid plastic. The joining part and the stiffener part are inserted in one another and are housed at least one of the ends thereof in a securing gusset fixed to the belt to form a non-articulated join biasing the equipment-carrying device to a salient position.
Abstract: The invention relates to a self-arresting rope belay device comprising a cam arranged to clamp the rope when the rope is under tension, and a lever arranged to act on the cam to progressively release the rope by manual action on the lever. The lever acts on the cam respectively with a geared-down effect in an initial part of its release travel, and with a direct effect in a final part of its travel. This results in the relative movement of the cam with respect to the lever being smaller in the initial part of the travel than in the final part, which enables accurate adjustment of the braking effort and of the running speed of the rope in the initial part of travel of the lever.

Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus for securing rescue operations by helihoisting that comprises three attachment means to the helicopter, the lifeguard and the belay tether. A trigger control mechanism includes a mobile pawl pivotally mounted on the hook between a closing position and a release position of the opening, respectively for maintaining the tether in the hook and for releasing the same, and a latch submitted to the action of a polarization spring for locking said pawl in the closed position in the absence of a tension on the first attachment means, and for unlocking said pawl when the force applied on the first attachment means exceeds that of the polarization spring. The assembly is arranged for triggering the automatic release of the belay tether that remained attached when the tensioning by the helicopter traction cable exceeds a predetermined threshold.

Abstract: An ice axe gripping shaft comprises a grip made of plastic equipped with a bottom stop for the hand to press on, located opposite an intermediate brace. An auxiliary lever articulated on the intermediate brace comprises a locking cam and a curved part acting as finger brace in the locked position.
Abstract: A belaying device for a rope comprises a cam able to rotate between a securing position corresponding to securing the rope by jamming effect against the stud and a separated position allowing the rope to run freely in the gap between the cam and the stud. The cam is associated with a triggering ratchet able to occupy either a locked position blocking the cam in the separated position or an unlocked position following a deliberate control action releasing said cam.
Abstract: Attachment shackle comprising a body in the form of an open ring having threaded first and second end-parts arranged facing one another at the opposite ends, and a tubular rotary ferrule fitted with screwing on the second end-part to close or open the space separating the two end-parts. A lock is arranged at the rear of the first end-part and is designed to engage in a notch of the ferrule to perform locking in the closed position. Unlocking is performed by a manual releasing action of the lock allowing movement of the rotary ferrule to the open position.
Abstract: A lighting lamp having an enclosure housing a DC power source and contact parts for connection to a printed circuit card connected with a light-emitting diode. The contact parts comprise first contact elements electrically connected with the power source and second contact elements designed to pass successively through a pair of holes situated in a tight intermediate wall of the enclosure and a through a pair of slots of the card. Soldering of the second contact elements onto the card, in addition to electric connection of the power source, enables a tightly sealed compartment to be achieved in the enclosure around the card.
