The other two pieces (a surgical steel clasp, and a handle) are designed to hold the barrel while allowing for rotation—and for easy removal and/or replacement. In addition, the outer surface of the Himalayan salt barrel is highly polished to our exact specifications so it is non-abrasive to the skin.
