The new variety is a male plant which flowers in a period well-synchronized for pollination of the female variety ‘Hort16A’ (U.S. Plant Pat. No. 11,066). The new variety is characterized by the timing of flowering, distinctive red/brown hairs evident on young shoots and the underside of young leaves. The new variety appears suitable for use as a pollinizer in commercial kiwifruit production and has been named ‘Bruce’.
